the article was proposed to be deleted due to its lack of supporting references, during the ongoing process of improvement, the point of discussion was turned to some other notability issues that are not mentioned in Wikipedia policies. —Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 14:20, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G4, which means the page is a near-carbon-copy of a page previously deleted via deletion debate. Pages deleted via deletion debate will not be restored here; go to WP:Deletion review or contact the administrator who closed the deletion debate instead. If you're referring to WP:NFOOTY (full link: WP:Notability (sports)#Association football) it very much *is* part of Wikipedia policy. And this page is not for contesting an AfD's outcome anyway; it's only for restoring certain types of pages deleted sans debate, of which G4 is not one of them because G4 only applies if there is an existing XfD debate. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 18:53, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

no Declined, because even though it was deleted via WP:PROD, it will not survive in main space if it were restored. Your request to restore the article contains the verbatim text from the article. As such, it contains unambiguous promotional puffery that would not survive a WP:G11 speedy deletion, and it contained zero references to any sources at all, therefore it was correctly deleted in accordance with WP:BLP guidelines. Because you already have the text of the article, you are welcome to start over in draft space (as in Draft:Baby Gazala) and submit it for review via Wikipedia:Articles for creation. ~Anachronist (talk) 19:28, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G11, indicating an page that was irredeemably promotional or blatant advertising. Note that G11 deletions are more an issue with the tone of the page as opposed to its sources or formatting. As articles deleted under G11 need to be rewritten from scratch, they will not be undeleted as-is here; try contacting the deleting administrator (Jimfbleak (talk · contribs)). Alternatively, you may request the page be restored as a draft or to have the contents of its last known revision emailed to you provided you have email enabled in your account's preferences. Note to any admin reading this: The page is salted due to being constantly being created and deleted (generally as either A7 or G11), and there is an existing draft for the subject. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 18:57, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
The article is also protected from recreation. Work on it in draft space if you must. ~Anachronist (talk) 19:32, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Michael Stokes Paulsen

Article had similar content to a scripted biography the individual uses on both work bio, publisher site, interview scripts, etc. Content was added and edited so as to not plagiarize, but some of the general content was a close paraphrase. This information is part of the individual's "scripted bio" and used across multiple sources as a base for biographical information and education history. If still in violation of Wikipedia regulations, please refund the content so that it can be changed to adhere to an acceptable standard with an explanation of which specific area was deemed unacceptable and subject to speedy deletion. —Ajprunty (talk) 17:45, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G12, which indicates a page copied and pasted wholesale from another source, or otherwise closely paraphrased from same. G12 deletions will not be overturned here or anywhere else. Copyright violations are never restored, userfied, draftified, or otherwise returned to the wiki in any fashion; you need to write a completely fresh bio from scratch. If you work for the subject, you must also read this and follow the directions provided there as soon as possible. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 18:48, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
A "scripted bio" sounds like something the subject wrote, or at least approved of. We don't want that; we don't care what the subject has to say about themselves. We want verifiable information from impartial reliable third-party sources about the subject. If there are no such sources, then that's pretty much the definition of somebody not notable enough to have an encyclopedia article about them. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:50, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

File:The Lord Amulree in 1949.jpg

From WP:BOTN: I am not entirely sure if this is the right place to report this incident because it is more related to people not noticing that a bot made a plausible (for a bot, of course) mistake, and not about a bot malfunction. As you can see in my talk page, B-bot nominated for deletion orphaned fair-use file File:The Lord Amulree in 1949.jpg on 4 March. The file became an orphan on 1 March and was eventually deleted on 12 March at 00:00.

I prefer not to say that I am semi-retired because I wish I could be as active as I were in the past, when I edited almost every day, but the truth is I log in very sporadically at this point. I logged in after it had been deleted (ironically, the same day, 18 hours after deletion) and found many (unseen by me, with the files already deleted) of the bot's notices on orphaned fair-use files which were up for deletion. I checked them all and they were all instances of my fair-use file having been replaced by a free file except for this one, the article of which is now without an image. I went to article history and eventually found out that it was all the doing of a sloppy IP edit (diff) which removed the file by pure accident. The person who fixed the mess did not notice that there was a broken file link and just deleted everything, while nobody noticed that the orphaned file did not have an actual replacement. When I found out, I pinged the creator of the bot, B, who never answered, asking for some action to be taken. I am very baffled by this situation and finally decided to take it here. —The Traditionalist (talk) 20:53, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

iota (cryptocurrency)

The article was added for speedy deletion without proper reasoning. The administrators could a) Bann users who have been vandalizing the article. b) Lock a version of the article that is sufficient and meet wikipedia standards and still provides minimum amount of commonly agreed upon information. By deleting the entire article the administrator shows either little understanding of the subject at hand or a hammer approach to an article quality problem. Id like to retrive my versions of this article and would like to further improve on my and other work. I have nothing to do with the iota foundation. Im interested in an impartial quality article to exist on Wikipedia. Please review history of article for further illumination. The cyptocurrency has been written about in major news media:

Michael Ventura (Entrepreneur)

We are not sure why this page was deleted to begin with. Would like it reinstated please as Michael is publishing a book in May and more people will be searching for context on who he is! —Sdelisser (talk) 17:12, 25 April 2018 (UTC)

@Sdelisser: I don't see where there was any such page (nor a Michael Ventura (entrepreneur)). That said, if he's not publishing the book until May, what are the reliable sources that have already written about him? Make sure he's sufficiently notable to have an article yet. —C.Fred (talk) 17:26, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
And Draft:Michael Ventura (Entrepreneur) was deleted upon the request of Nycjoshblack: he had created the draft, submitted it, and had it declined for lack of notability. That said, because it's a draft, it's eligible for recreation. —C.Fred (talk) 17:28, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
Ah. Michael Ventura (entrepreneur) was not deleted; it was turned into a redirect as the result of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michael Ventura (entrepreneur). That decision will not be overturned here, although I could move the history to draft space if you want to work on it. Do you want that done, Sdelisser? —C.Fred (talk) 17:31, 25 April 2018 (UTC)

Morgan Dameron

Enter your reasoning here and then click the "Publish changes" button below —216.165.95.184 (talk) 17:36, 25 April 2018 (UTC) 1=Morgan Dameron 2=This article was deleted as a result of a nomination for being "non-notable." Clearly, the subject is notable and deserving of a page on this site. Morgan Dameron has been discussed in numerous credible places as listed on the page including the New York Times. Moreover, Star Wars: The Force Awakens character Poe Dameron was named after her, and her own independent feature film Different Flowerscan be purchased on iTunes and has been purchased for customer viewing on Lifetime.

Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Carlisle Homes

Notable Australian company speedy deleted as advertising - which it was not. It hadn't been tagged beforehand, so no one had had the opportunity to challenge it. If the deleting user wants to argue that the company is non-notable, they should take it to AfD rather than end-running a discussion in which other editors will disagree with them. —The Drover's Wife (talk) 00:09, 28 April 2018 (UTC)

For this you should first ask the deleting admin User:Seraphimblade to reconsider to avoid a wheel war. It was in fact prodded by Bishonen who claimed "Created by an undisclosed paid editor", and spam speedy delete requested by GreenMeansGo. See User talk:Kiwirant456. It had about 2 hours to challenge. I think that most of the article is free of promotion, although the awards sections sounds like puffery. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:15, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
Removing the awards section would seem like a more reasonable solution than deletion then. The Drover's Wife (talk) 00:23, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
@The Drover's Wife: but the first step is to ask Seraphimblade. I don't think that has happened yet. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 01:45, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
I have asked Seraphimblade; he has refused. His stated grounds for deletion was that it was written like advertising (which I am very happy to remedy immediately), but he has insisted that I produce further references to his liking before he would consider undeleting it (which is a notability argument, not an advertising one). As such, I would once again request that it be undeleted, because G11 is not an opportunity for people with the right tools to unilaterally delete articles on notability grounds without the hassle of allowing other editors notice and feedback on that idea. The Drover's Wife (talk) 06:09, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
You can go to Wikipedia:Deletion review. Nobody here will overturn another administrator's decision unilaterally. There would need to be a community consensus. That's what deletion review is for.
Having looked at the deleted article, it not only includes a WP:G11 speedy deletion tag, but also a WP:PROD tag for notability. And if it were restored, it would not survive long, because none of the sources in the article suggest that the topic is notable. If you want the article to exist, I suggest you start from scratch. ~Anachronist (talk) 07:33, 29 April 2018 (UTC)

  • Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lumpy da comedian (2nd nomination), it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion. After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 13:13, 30 April 2018 (UTC)

So are you claiming to be David Winfield Huddleston? Is this image a "selfie"? Any way its a tiny thumbnail size 74 × 89. A larger size would be more useful. How did you create the image? Did you crop it from another picture? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 13:22, 30 April 2018 (UTC)

Darin Johnson

This afticle was deleted at an AfD with little turnout. The consensus was that he was not notable because he had not played professionally. However, that has changed and he is now a professional basketball player. I request this article to be undeleted because it meets GNG now. —~EDDY (talk/contribs)~ 13:17, 30 April 2018 (UTC)

We just noticed our band Wikipedia is gone. We didn’t see any reason for this... but it seems it has been down for months. We are still a band with Chris Vaughn’s solo project, we would like the page to be reinstated please. Thank you!

You restored my page, and then deleted it again. I didn’t make this page, but I am Chris Vaughn from Danger Silent... and the information on this Wiki page is correct. Please stop deleting it. Thanks. —2600:8800:800:8D60:7C3E:24CA:37E1:596E (talk) 22:00, 30 April 2018 (UTC)

I didn't have to look very hard to find two significant copyright violations in the text of this article and I suspect there are many more. Daniel Kapler

I have requested the restoration of the article Daniel Kapler, because it was Deleted without a proper check. The article contained reliable sources, was very well described, there were no spelling errors and followed the standards and norms of Wikipedia. Credits for his works can be found in Hebrew. —Jenyamironov (talk) 16:13, 1 May 2018 (UTC)

@Jenyamironov: I have restored the article to Draft:Daniel Kapler. It was definitely not ready for main space. The rationales for deleting the article given in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Daniel Kapler were valid. Please improve the article (I have removed inline external links to other Wikipedias already), keeping in mind WP:MUSICBIO criteria for inclusion as well as the requirement for significant coverage of the person, which isn't evident in the article yet. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:01, 1 May 2018 (UTC)
