Phillip Stutts

There is no clear reason that this page was deleted. All text of the conversation regarding the article's deletion was based on political opinion about Phillip Stutts, and not the merits of the information provided in the article. The article was properly sourced and included no promotional material.

Here is a copy of what was originally taken off Wikipedia. We request the article be undeleted so that we may update it.

(Redacted)Bassalid (talk) 20:33, 26 January 2018 (UTC)

Note: The page was deleted as a result of a deletion debate. Admins will not undelete pages that were deleted with discussion here; go to WP:Deletion review or contact the administrator that closed the deletion debate instead. Now that I have just restored the AfD after it was blanked, I can see that the first two Delete arguments are not about politics but about whether or not he satisfies our basic notability guideline, and the one Keep argument relied on the sheer number of times he's been quoted by the press; quotables are not reliable sources in any sense of the word. Arguments that a subject's sourcing is not enough for the subject to satisfy that guideline (which details our core inclusion criteria) isn't "political opinion about" the subject, but more an indictment of how few news stories there are that are actually about the person specifically. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 20:47, 26 January 2018 (UTC)

The political opinion I refer to is that when in the discussion they refer to him as a "spinmaster" and show personal bias. My request is simple. Allow me to submit a draft of a new Phillip Stutts article that will satisfy the requirements of proving "notability" and will have plenty of outside sourcing. Bassalid (talk) 15:25, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

@Bassalid: First answer the question: Who is "we"?
Second: "No clear reason"? Are you kidding? Did you even read the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Phillip Stutts? Have you read Wikipedia:Notability? If you did, you would realize that we keep or delete articles not based on "the merits of the information provided in the article" but on whether the subject of the article is notable by virtue of having received significant coverage in multiple reliable sources that are independent of the subject. ~Anachronist (talk) 21:48, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
At the time the request was filed, the AfD had been blanked. I restored it shortly before replying to this. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 03:15, 27 January 2018 (UTC)

By "we" I only meant it as interested parties in Phillip Stutts. I did read the discussions and I do not believe they are relevant at this time due to their date. I have requested permission to submit a new draft for the article so that it is appropriately reflective of Phillip Stutts and can be reconsidered in the terms of "notability." Bassalid (talk) 15:22, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

With what you had before you don't have much. A large number of the links you provided are either inappropriate to cite (such as opinion pieces he himself has authored or interviews he has given), 404 out/are on dead domains, or are passing mentions that merely quote him. Wikipedia needs multiple third-party sources that talk about him specifically in some depth in order to satisfy the notability requirement. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 19:31, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

I am willing to submit a completely updated entry that will have plenty of third party sourcing. If you feel it still doesn't contain adequate sourcing, or the discussion still assesses that he is not what qualifies as "notable" then that's fine. I'd just like the opportunity to create a new article on Phillip Stutts.Bassalid (talk) 23:14, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

Then go through the Article Wizard and create a draft. You don't need us restoring the old page to do that. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 00:36, 29 January 2018 (UTC)

sam alhaje

Hi wikipedia community, in the concern regarding the deletion of the Australian Actor's page Sam Alhaje. I honestly think (along with evidence below from his agent) that an administrator has erred in deleting the page Sam Alhaje due to the fact that he has acquired and has been cast in 3 new television shows and series airing in 2018 in which he is the main character "KARIM" in one (concern for welfare which is airing on SBS in Australia) A role on the ABC TV tv series RAKE as a supporting actor "DELL" to prestigious actor richard roxburgh and Damien Harvey, Another ABC TV brand new comedy as another supporting actor "JAL" in the upcoming show SANDO.( source is his very own agent Catherine Poulton. link is http://www.cpmgt.com.au/talent/sam-alhaje/. And has also been on hold for a third session of the successful show that branched him out "here come the habibs". He has also received recognition with the sci fi feature film "hidden peaks" which has just been sold and began distribution in USA,ASIA & Australia with a release date in the first quarter of 2018. he also has just been cast in the new theatre play as the main character for the Parramatta riverside theatre play called "Lakemba". He has also just finalised a commercial where he worked with the fabulous Australian legend Roy Billing for the prestigious bank "Macquarie Bank Group". Sam Alhaje has been covered thoroughly through his career so much so that he has been featured on various TV shows such as The Today Show, Today extra, 20 to one, the footy show" Print magazines such as TV week, Woman's day, Online with Daily mail, News papers such as Daily telegraph as well as radio interviews and catch ups with sam alhaje on radio stations 96.1 edge FM, power FM, 104.5 FM, and 106.5 Kis FM which is the biggest in the country, along with various and constant red carpet invites as one of the special guest stars which is evident through his social handle on instagram https://www.instagram.com/samalhaje/ . Not only has he been covered thoroughly publicly by the media, his 3 television shows, International feature film release, International Commercial he has just filmed for Macquarie group, and his Theatre casting for "Lakemba" all show that he is clearly a well established and loved celebrity and is only growing a even bigger traction and following. And with his new roles, he will also be further covered publicly even more. People know this guy, he is a established figure and he was even a candidate for a Logie. http://www.cpmgt.com.au/talent/sam-alhaje/

We don't cite the subject's agent or any other proxy, we don't cite social media, and being nominated or an award once isnn't enough to satisfy WP:Notability (people). The sources need to be there first, especially for biographies. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 19:37, 29 January 2018 (UTC)

None of what you wrote has anything to do with notability as Wikipedia defines it for companies. See WP:CORP. Therefore...
Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Velibre GmbH, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user MBisanz (talk · contribs). We Leak Info

The original author has disowned this page and I wish to continue its creation. —Databreaches (talk) 16:01, 1 February 2018 (UTC)

My guess is that the user who wishes to "continue" this article is the same person who hacked my account to create it in the first place. There is probably some motive inspiring this person other than improving the encyclopedia. What reason would someone have to hack the account of someone like me, who has been an editor for just over 10 years, other than hoping that the article might somehow be subject to less scrutiny? In my opinion, any user that expresses a desire to re-create this article or make any of the edits that the hacker made in my name should be immediately blocked. I had to suffer such inconvenience and indignity. So, let such person prove that their intentions in making contributions here are noble. Taxman1913 (talk) 17:59, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
The only contribution Databreaches has made to the entire encyclopedia is the above request for undeletion. S/he has the audacity to say that the "original author" has disowned the page. You, Databreaches, are the original author. Why don't you own up to what you did? Do you really expect people to believe that you suddenly created an account, and the first thing you noticed was a deleted article, and you innocently wish to continue its creation? You must think that the people here cannot put 2 and 2 together. I know that my tone departs from the decorum that is appropriate for Wikipedia, but you wasted my time yesterday, you wasted the time of There'sNoTime yesterday, and now you're wasting the time of more people. If you want to promote a commercial product, find another way. Wikipedia is not the place for that. Taxman1913 (talk) 18:17, 1 February 2018 (UTC)

raja sikandar sultan

I belive that the article was deleted in a haphazard way without giving due consideration to the merits of the article. The page on Sikandar Sultan Raja should be added back as he is a federal secretary to the government of Pakistan equivalent to the secretary of any department in the USA or a permanent secretary to a particular department in the UK. If for example, they have their Wikipedia pages up then why delete Mr. Sultans? 5-6 federal secretaries pages are up from Pakistan, for example, Fawad Hassan Fawad, Rizwan Memon. Why is it that he was only singled out and deleted without giving through the process or the administrator himself seeing the merits of the article and importance on the site. This site is made to educate and help people in research and deleting such pages hinders the peoples right to information. It is clearly seen that some malafidey has happened to remove this page in a hurry by the person who nominated its deletion without citing proper reasons and even if this page remained up no harm was being done. So it is kindly requested to put it back up — Preceding unsigned comment added by 39.42.10.173 (talk) 20:57, 3 February 2018 (UTC)

Erukala

Unclear why Anomiebot deleted it in the first place. —– Uanfala (talk) 01:55, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

It was meant to be a redirect to Yerukala people; instead it redirected to the redirect Yerukala. --Orange Mike | Talk 03:12, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
So it was deleted because of being a double redirect then? The solution I'd expect to such a problem would be simply repointing it to the ultimate target. Is there any particular benefit in deletion? – Uanfala (talk) 03:42, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
The page Yerukala people did not exist at the time it was deleted, as the page was deleted the previous day. You can recreate the redirect now if you wish. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:00, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
Ah, so that's why! Mystery solved now, thanks! Adding  Done in case this is needed for marking the thread ready for archiving. – Uanfala (talk) 16:26, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

Kannan

Kannan is a Tamil name and the article was a WP:DAB, as shown by this archive. It was recently speedily deleted by @Beetstra as a WP:A7. I can't tell what happened to the article to warrant speedy deletion but I guess an editor turned the dab page into a biographical article. Can the article be undeleted and restored to a version when it was a dab page? —Obi2canibe (talk) 20:03, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

List of Singapore MRT disruptions

Hello, the article "List of Singapore MRT disruptions ", previously at the URL https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_Singapore_MRT_disruptions, has been deleted. It states "The article that you're looking for doesn't exist." The page's history only goes up to end Nov 2017, so I can't view the reason for deletion. The article is about an important event in Singaporean history, the city-state's 6 year long spell of rapid transit disruptions and related technical faults. —Qwspasot (talk) 13:15, 5 February 2018 (UTC)

Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Singapore MRT disruptions, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user TonyBallioni (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:38, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
