In particular, check the history page, where the anons are leaving many vandalism-style comments in their edit summaries. Napoleon I of France (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) had a small but significant inaccuracy. The painting of the Crowning of Napoleon was labelled as the "Crowning of Josephine by Napoleon". I don't see how this could be a mistake. I changed it rather than reverted it because the false edit seems to have buried under many legitimate edits. I don't know how to find who made this specific edit. It worries me because even though it's small, it seems deliberate and could be misleading: to someone who does not know about the subject, the false label is very believable. The troll's latest reincarnation seems to be IP address 64.106.85.129 . Latest reincarnations has also taken to attacking a regular contributor.

An editor from several different accounts keeps putting up a notice that former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Grbac died in a car crash this April. Pamela Anderson (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views); someone obsessed with her has been repeatedly and inexplicably removing sourced images to replace them with unsourced copyright infringing images (see here for a partial list). He has uploaded the same images under several different names, and has switched them with the sourced images under three different user names now, all blocked by me after he has failed to respond to warnings or comment on his actions. He has also inexplicably uploaded several copies of the same fair use magazine cover image, randomly switching them with the identical one linked to from the article. Please block anyone on sight exhibiting the same conduct. Other articles to watch for the same behavior (though of less interest to our obsessed fan) are Anna Nicole Smith and Jennifer Walcott. All I'm saying is that a) nominating several similar articles is not vandalism (true), that going onto talk pages to ask people to vote a certain way is generally bad form (true) and that nailing oneself to a cross directly violates WP:AGF, skirts WP:NPA and is generally not a constructive way to develop this encyclopaedia (true). --Malthusian (talk) 11:30, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
