Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/2011 January 18
Article needs checking by another Wikipedia author. We've put as many notable references in as possible. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

- I think although you have a few reliable sources overall I think the article is lacking in sources to verify the statements in the article. I also don't think the article is really notable enough in its current form with the references/sources you currently have. Chevymontecarlo 07:41, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
Looking for feedback and help on improving the article posted under MC Flipside. It is a general bio and brief history of him as an MC, DJ and record producer.

- I think there are some notability problems with the article. It is thorough enough but there are no reliable references to verify the statements in the article. Chevymontecarlo 07:38, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
I have created a wiki page for a Tamil movie that released in Tamil Nadu, India on the 31st of December, 2010

- Again, I think there are some notability issues with your article, mostly down to a lack of reliable sources. Please try and add some and consider expanding the article as well if you can, otherwise it's likely that the article will just be deleted. Good luck. Chevymontecarlo 07:33, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
Please review this wiki page that I have created for Villalan, a movie which released on the 31st of Dec, 2010 in Tamil Nadu, India
Pradeepchennai (talk) 04:58, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- To be honest the article could do with being expanded, more reliable sources added and more information on why the article is notable and therefore suitable for Wikipedia. Chevymontecarlo 07:29, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
This is my first article and I'm wondering if it looks OK. Thanks in advance!

- Looking at the references, according to the referencing guidelines at WP:CITE sites like YouTube cannot be used as a reference as they aren't considered reliable enough, so please remove those references. I think with the references you currently have don't really make the article notable, so you might perhaps want to consider making some improvements to the sources. Other than that I think the article is quite well-written from a formatting perspective; it's just the references I think you need to work on. Good luck! Chevymontecarlo 07:27, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

- I think judging from your username there could be some conflict of interest issues with the article, and really I don't think the company passes Wikipedia's notability guidelines either because there aren't really any reliable sources. Chevymontecarlo 07:23, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

This is an article which I created. There are already articles for the travels of Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI and this is intended as a "companion piece" to those articles as well as an expansion of a section found on the main article for Pope Paul VI. Feedback and suggestions are appreciated.

The article looks it pretty good shape but could do with one or two additional references (I have tagged where). You might want to visit/join Wikipedia:WikiProject Catholicism, where you can find people who might be able to help you. Regards--Ykraps (talk) 08:16, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. I've since added citations where you indicated. Mtminchi08 (talk) 01:14, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
- And I have removed the unreviewed article tag. The next step is to get the article assessed for importance and quality. Most projects have a procedure for this but Wikiproject Catholicism (which I see you have now joined) appears to allow you to rate your own article. If you don't want to do this, I would identify a fellow member and leave a message on his or her talk page asking them to rate it for you.--Ykraps (talk) 08:11, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Thank you again for your help! It's greatly appreciated. Mtminchi08 (talk) 08:24, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi. I'd love to see my CzechBoys article live. I think my resources are solid and properly referenced, but I'd appreciate any help or feedback. Thanks!

I would like some feedback on an article I wrote about a national insulation laminator. It has not been reviewed yet and this is the reason for my request. I have included several noteworthy references.
Thank you for the feedback. One major correction: As I understand, Construction Digital does not allow companies to write their own copy. CD is a worldwide publications with over 800,000+ global subscribers. It is more than merely a "trade publication". The fact that Therm-All was selected for a feature is a rather large deal. I will include other sources. Thank you again.

The article has multiple issues but firstly you desperately need to establish that this company is notable of being included in Wikipedia. Generally speaking, a company or organisation is deemed notable if it has received significant coverage in multiple, reliable, independent sources. Trivial or incidental coverage such as: sources that simply report meeting times, shopping hours or event schedules; the publications of telephone numbers, addresses, and directions in business directories; routine communiqués announcing such matters as the hiring or departure of personnel; brief announcements of mergers or sales of part of the business, and so forth; are not sufficient to establish notability. See Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). Currently it appears that the only published source you have is an article in a trade journal and as invariably, these are written by the companies themselves, it might not qualify as a reliable source. If you wish to continue working on the article, I would suggest you move it to a user page, where it will be safe from deletion. Regards--Ykraps (talk) 08:53, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Hello, does this look ok or do I need to do more work on it? Summary, British living composer etc... Ben W Brown (talk) 14:04, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
Please provide feedback on content and format as corrections have been made. Thanks!
Burnglobaldev (talk) 17:33, 18 January 2011 (UTC) Hi! This is for Wikipedia Articles only in the Wikipedia article space, please provide a link to the article in the Article Space then we will look at it. JoeGazz ▲ 21:10, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

- "Biography", "Career", and "Administration" sections have no references. You need to show how you know these things. The "Books" section would be better constructed if you put the bibliographic data with the book there, rather than in a footnote. You might consider using the "cite book" template at Wikipedia:Citation templates, filling in the blanks, and pasting into your article. Very minor format glitches: his name in the first paragraph should be bolded. There is an extraneous "bulleted list item" after the list of references. All in all, to me, a very good article. Hi, I am confident on the references I have. Please give me a feedback on the article I made for CompNation.

User:Gordov2/The Lou Gordon Program
[edit]Hi, thanks in advance for your time.
1) I need help with making my user page into a main page and (2) changing the title to "Lou Gordon" instead of the current title.
3) I need help in properly formatting the article, i.e how to get the photo, birthdate, etc., into the proper text box on the right side of the page
4) I believe I have all the correct source material, but I need help with how to link with other Wikipedia titles and words within Wikipedia. I've tried to do it manually, but there's got to be an automatic way to do it.
5) There is already a "Lou Gordon" page, I need to know to disambiguate my "Lou Gordon" page from the existing (My Lou Gordon is a completely different person). I also need to know how to redirect to the proper "Lou Gordon" page.

This is another attempt at providing a missing article for a Gutenberg Author. Comments welcomed.

I would love for this page to go live because Shorty is a well known dancer within the dance world. And it would have been really helpful during my project on Break Dancers if I had this page to reference. After doing my own research I found all this information out. I have many citations and links to information on her but I don't know HOW to get my page to be live and be seen. Thanks so much!
Grapebeans (talk) 23:30, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
Is this ready to go live? If not, how can I change it to "not sound like an advertisement"?
Laurenlortie23 (talk) 23:42, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hiya. This article still sounds like an advert rather than an encyclopedia: for example, listing the different flavours that the company produces is advertising. To be honest, I don't think this company is likely to meet the wikipedia notability guideline; people need to have written about the company in multiple, independant reliable sources. Apart from the company website, this article only gives two sources that mention the company; one of these is selling its products, the other is mainly about a gubernatorial candidate who visited it. Unfortunately unless the article can prove that the company is notable, it will probably end up being deleted.
- Sorry to be so discouraging, I can see you've put a lot of work in here. Best wishes, --Physics is all gnomes (talk) 18:26, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
