[edit]1999 more/bridge creek tornado
[edit]Um I think you you got the wind speed wrong I thought it was 318 mph not 301 can you fix that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1004:B140:5F8A:311C:5D61:70B4:E4FC (talk) 06:21, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
- The article in question is 1999 Bridge Creek–Moore tornado. The infobox gives a source for the speed as 302 ± 22 mph, so obviously there's a tolerance there which would explain the discrepancy noted by the OP. Annoyingly, however, the opening para puts the speed at 301 ± 20 miles per hour (unsourced). This inconsistency should be fixed. --Viennese Waltz 06:38, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
- Since they typically just estimate the wind speed based on what damage it caused, listing it to the nearest MPH seems like excessive precision, when the accuracy is so low. SinisterLefty (talk) 13:43, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
