Pronunciation of <n> + <r> in Korean

[edit]

According to standard Korean transliteration tables, the consonant combination <n> + <r> is pronounced /ll/. However, I have also heard that there are some instances where <n> + <r> gets pronounced /nn/ instead of /ll/. Are there rules as to when to use which pronunciation for this consonant combination? 96.246.144.195 (talk) 16:27, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
