Origin of this old viral video

[edit]
  • I have removed this question, which I believe was asked in good faith, but which I also believe violates wikipedia's WP:BLP and privacy standards. Yes, anyone can find that video all over YouTube, but the subject of the video is a private person, and not deserving of the attention and ridicule that linking to this video does. Again, I am not accusing anyone of bad faith, but given the potential for real harm that a video like this can have on a person, I don't believe that we at Wikipedia should play any part in that, regardless of how widely availible the video is. Please come to the talk page at WT:RD to discuss this further if you have any questions or objections. --Jayron32 01:45, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Undercover" lyrics by: The Chain Gang of 1974

[edit]

I can't seem to find lyrics to this recent song anywhere. Does anyone know the lyrics or a link to a page showing them? Nicholasprado (talk) 03:05, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia, by policy cannot provide you with links to websites that violate copyright laws, which all lyrics hosting sites do, by their very nature. That having been said, I have checked all the "usual suspects" using Google, which you could do too, and I can't find anything. It may very well be likely that the information is not availible online. --Jayron32 04:27, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your efforts, I did try Google as well, and it appears that these informations are not available online as you said. Do you know how I can proceed to find these lyrics offline?Nicholasprado (talk) 04:41, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If the CD has liner notes, the lyrics are often on that. Bielle (talk) 03:35, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
A case can be made that lyrics hosting sites are well within fair use. Unless one has been shut down by court order? Have we any such cases? μηδείς (talk) 23:12, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
