[edit]The Guild 2
[edit]Is there any thing I can do to fix these problems for the game The Guild 2? Ihave downloaded all the patches and my system exceeds the requirments. 1. Extreme Lag 2. cursor won't move —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.119.61.7 (talk) 00:16, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit]I want to buy Manhunt 2 but I dont know if theres any difference in the versions(PS2,PSP,Wii). I would like to buy it on psp, but if their are any major differences between the versions, I wont. Please respond to me directly or here. Neon6419 (talk) 01:44, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- Obviously a portable console has its limitations. I'd say go with PS2. --Niyant (talk) 04:39, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- I say go for the Wii version. Looks better and the control is more dynamic too 70.132.25.250 (talk) 08:38, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

The Way I Are
[edit]Can anyone help me with the words in the music video for The Way I Are? The official music video (uploaded by the copyright owners) is here. The second rap, which is not in the radio or album version, is apparently by Sebastian--and although there are lyrics sites for the rest of the song, they are all clearly faking it when they get to this part. It starts at about 2:22 in that video.
The second three-quarters are easy enough (from "your body ain't Pamela Anderson" on), but the first part is largely composed of people's names, thus:
- "Got my money (something something) like (someone's name)
- And it's really not quite (someone else's name)"
Does anyone have a clue who or what he's talking about?
No wild guesses, please; there are plenty of those. I want to know for certain, because my a cappella choir is putting together a performance of this song, and at the moment, we are forced to skip this verse altogether. This is immensely tragic, as it's the best part. X)
Thanks for the help! --Masamage ♫ 04:05, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- This claims to be the lyrics. I have also seen Louis Anderson cited as the correct name in place of Louis Allason. SaundersW (talk) 14:52, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
And other versions of that couplet: "My money and my loot like filling them And it's really not quite Lawrence Alderson" : "Yo my money ain't Luth like felling 'em, And it's really not quite Moris Allison": "Yea my money ain't aloof like Phil and them And it's really not quite low as LSN, " SaundersW (talk) 15:02, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've seen all those; I'm pretty sure they have no idea and are just making stuff up. :I None of those names appear to be real people. --Masamage ♫ 16:49, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- Louie (not Louis, sorry) Anderson, Lawrence Alderson: an expert on rare breeds, so unlikely! Allison Morris: restorative justice in New Zealand. Louie Anderson (comedian) is promising... SaundersW (talk) 17:17, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- I dunno... none of those seem like someone a rap star would talk about, especially in the company of Pamela Anderson. Maybe I'll send the guy an email and hope for the best. o_O --Masamage ♫ 02:32, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Educated Pornstars
[edit]Does anyone have an idea as to who might be considered the most educated pornstar? 70.132.25.250 (talk) 08:40, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not sure there is a formal education for that kind of thing. 194.171.56.13 (talk) 10:40, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think he means the porn star with the most academic qualifications i.e. college degree, masters etc. --Richardrj talk email 11:14, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well not exactly a star, from I'm sure people in Ivy League schools have their fair share of excursions...if you know what I mean. heh --Niyant (talk) 11:53, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- asia carrera is a member of mensa. I don't recall if she's actually "educated" but she's obviously intelligent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.155.80.115 (talk) 14:08, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think you mean Asia Carrera. And for the original question, there is a porn actress who went to school for psychology or something along those lines and got her PhD, I think. She started a testing program for AIDS in the porn industry. She's an older actress, probably in her 40s or 50s by now. I can't for the life of me remember her name though. Dismas|(talk) 16:51, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- Found them!! See Annie Sprinkle and Nina Hartley. Sprinkle has a PhD and Hartley is a registered nurse. Dismas|(talk) 17:02, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

- Annabel Chong would seem to be quite educated. She studied law in London on a scholarship; and studied other stuff in US. kawaputratorque 17:11, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- There's also Sharon Mitchell, the director of the Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation, but her Ph.D appears to be from an unaccredited institution. Tera Patrick has an associates degree in nursing and a bachelors in microbiology. Oberdog (talk) 17:26, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Why George Lazenby refused to reprise his role of James Bond? David Pro (talk) 12:29, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
From the article: George Lazenby did not reprise the role in Diamonds are Forever. His agent convinced him the secret agent would be archaic in the liberated 1970s. He had been offered a seven-film contract, had signed a letter of intent to star in Diamonds Are Forever, and was even paid an initial fee installment (which he refunded) before declining. How to contact United Artists Movie Theater Chain?
[edit]Hello. I am at my wit's end trying to get in touch with our local theater by e-mail. It is the UA Riverview Theater in Philadelphia, PA. No searches online can give me this. Specifically, I'd like to know why their prices went up so much: $8.00 for adults and why there is no $5.00 discount before a certain time anymore(especially when Philadelphia has a "Make it a Night" Wednesdays and the competing chain, Ritz Theaters that shows art films charges $6.00 all day on Wed.). I lost my job last week and need to take a break from all this online job-hunting and interviews (only a few :-( and really need to "get away" the poor man's way by going to a movie. Have bus pass will travel!
71.226.212.37 (talk) 12:56, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Thank you!71.226.212.37 (talk) 12:56, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- Why not write them a letter? In my experience organisations are more likely to reply to complaints if they receive them by regular mail. --Richardrj talk email 13:13, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- I can answer your question for you. I just answered the same question yesterday. Assume you operate a movie theater. You don't magically get movies delivered to your door. You have to get a distributor to ship them to you. The distributor is under contract with the major labels to get prints of the film and ship them to theaters. In that contract, the labels set a price strata for various regions and cities throughout the world. If your theater charges below the price strata, the distributor is not allowed to send a movie to you. There are three price strata: first run, second run, and serial (though, I do not believe the proper term is "serial" - that is just what I've always heard it called). So, you want to charge $1.00 for a ticket, but the distributor says he can't get you any movies unless you charge at least $8.00. So, you have two options, have no movies to show or you charge what the labels require you to charge. Then, the customers show up and complain that you bumped up your ticket price. You can shrug it off, try to explain to them that it isn't your fault, or even try to explain that you aren't making more money. Out of a single ticket sale, 5% goes to the federal government, 5-10% goes to the state, 10-20% goes to the theater chain, 15-20% goes to the distributor, and 40-60% goes to the producers. Add that up and see what percent the theater gets. -- kainaw™ 13:38, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Place to get out of copyright music?
[edit]Does anyone know of a site that has decent recordings of out of copyright Classical Orchestral music (such as the works of Bach and the like) for free? I'd rather get legitimate free music than having to steal it, and I don't have any CDs of my own, because I'm not really into this sort of music, but I need some for a College project. - Try this site. --Richardrj talk email 13:28, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Roarke's wife
[edit]In one particular episode of Fantasy Island, Mr. Roarke got married. But then, his wife suddenly becomes ill and dies. How come this was never mentioned or discussed after that episode?72.229.136.18 (talk) 14:46, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- I never watched the show, but it sounds like an example of Retroactive continuity -- the writers or producers decided that they regretted changing the character, so they changed him back and resolved to simply not mention it again. --M@rēino 15:04, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
fictional advertisement
[edit]Back in the 1980s, I'd see a print advertisement for a product called Wade's Wintergreen. I saw it in Poison Ivy, The B.R.A.T. Patrol, Days of Our Lives, and Mr. Belvedere. Is the product fictional?72.229.136.18 (talk) 14:52, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- I saw it in Married...with Children and Malcolm in the Middle, as well. So I think, it's a fictional brand. Tokue (talk) 13:26, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
