Movies[edit]

Specifically the movie "The Questor Tapes" RE: 1974

It has a reasonably-detailed article if you have a question. I've seen it - it wasn't bad. Clarityfiend 03:49, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Great White Sharks and the Farallon Islands[edit]

I saw a documentary on the Farallon Islands, possibly by National Geographic, that contained some of the best footage of Great White sharks I have ever seen. I have been trying to purchase the documentary but can not locate it.

The documentary had researchers on the islands, in small boats right off the islands, and actually in the water. They were filming the Great Whites feeding on the giant sea lions that were mating there. At one point they painted the bottom of a surf board to look like a seal and then "trolled" it around with a camera mounted through a hole in the board and filmed a Great White charging up from the blackness below. Very good film. Any ideas where I might locate it? -- —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.165.28.168 (talkcontribs)

I suspect that you mean the BBC documentary Great White Shark. For verification, you can review the description and some pictures from the show here. dpotter 14:47, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Slot Machine Volume Control[edit]

Good Morning!

Could you please tell me where the volume control switch and/or button is located in an actual For entertainment purposes only life size slot machine? I have looked all over, inside and out. Thank you, Paula --Paulamirada3 15:41, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think they have volume controls. They made to attract attention, and sound is just one of those features. --The Dark Side 23:46, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
On some of them you can turn the volume off, but you've got to get inside them to do so. Not something you can do unless you own the machine. Grutness...wha? 10:04, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cinderella broadcast in March of 1957[edit]

Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderalla starring Julie Andrews was rebroadcast last year on PBS. The original broadcast was on CBS and was seen by over 100 million viewers. The program was also made into a DVD that was released in 2004

I am fairly convinced that the king's trumpeter in the progam was Johnny Carson, although his name does not appear in the credits. Does any one know for sure if it was in fact Johnny Carson. Bruce L. Beck

IMDB doesn't list him - but it doesn't mention a trumpeter at all. --ColinFine 01:15, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
