[edit]Restart in cron
[edit]Hi! When some command (script) in crontab is broken, it automatically restarts. Is it possible to disable the restart? Or better: run some command if some something is broken. Did some googling, but didn't find anything helpful. --Edgars2007 (talk/contribs) 05:46, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
- For the latter, if you are speaking of detecting that some script stopped working and some cleanup is necessary, see [1] (but make sure to not only read the accepted answer); if you are speaking of executing a cleanup the moment a script failed, just put a Bash_(Unix_shell)#Conditional_execution inside your cron job.
