I'm requesting suggestions on how to improve this Portal even further. I believe the related topics section still needs work, but I also wish to obtain constructive criticism on other sections from experienced editors, as well as suggestions on improving the overall Portal. - Mtmelendez (Talk|UB|Home) 03:33, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi Mtmelendez, here are some suggestions:
- The color combination can be improved. Currently there is a lack of contrast between portal background and box-header background. Consider using the blue color from the flag. Done
- The "Puerto Rico-related topics" section is serving as a "See also.." section. As such it should go down in order. Done
- Directly linking different external news agency cites (Claridad etc.) in the news section should be avoided. It could raise a lot of questions. What's the point of adding them and not others? How is it decided which news agency links will be added? So, better just get rid of them. Done
- Most selected pictures need more elaborate captions. (Example: Fountain of Lions, Plaza Las Delicias, Ponce; View of the Devil's guerite in Fort San Cristóbal in San Juan, Puerto Rico etc). Done Captions should be such that a reader totally unfamiliar with the subject matter understands what the picture is about without clicking the link. Arman Aziz 03:45, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Thank you so much for your suggestions. It's been a long time coming. Thanks! Suggestion implementation in process. - Mtmelendez (Talk|UB|Home) 07:43, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
