Wikipedia:Polarity

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Try to avoid a discussion becoming unnecessarily 'polar'. The real world is messy, and full of grey areas, and when dialog is occurring poles apart, it often hinders progress. You may well be 'right' but it often doesn't mean that an opposing view is completely 'wrong'. Spend some time, and a bit of rigour, in seeing alternate perspectives, and try to reflect your efforts in your comments. It can really help.
