Wikipedia:Picture peer review/Racist campaign poster

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A Pennsylvania political campaign poster for a white supremacy platform, 1866.
Restored version with hole patched and some dirt and fibers removed.

A historic campaign poster shortly following the American Civil War in the northern border state of Pennsylvania. It serves an encyclopedic purpose to show that this kind of thing existed and that it was this blatant. Appears at Racism by country#Post-slavery racism and Disfranchisement after the Civil War.

I've gone ahead and nominated for FPC on the restored version. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Durova (talkcontribs) 19:31, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
