WikiProject Los Angeles Rams
[edit]

The Los Angeles Rams WikiProject was founded as the St. Louis Rams WikiProject on March 2, 2007 to organize and improve the quality of all articles related to the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League. This project is a team subproject of National Football League WikiProject and follows the guidelines set forth by our parent project. Please feel free to contribute by joining the discussion on the Talk Page and by adding your name to the Participants section below.

The main page of the subproject contains all the information you need to get started. This includes the goals and tasks that participants are working on. If you are working on any article or non-article related to Rams football, you are welcome to add it on to our tasks page. Likewise, if you would like to see new goals for our project please add it on our goals page. We ask that you do not vandalize or place tasks/goals that are not related to Rams football in our information pages or any other page for that matter. If you disagree with a task or a goal that an editor added that is not clear vandalism or not related to Rams football, we do ask that you discuss your issue first on the appropriate talk page. Yet, if you feel like a task or a goal is completed there is no need to discuss it, just take it off the list. Links to the talk pages are found on the navigation box to the right.

This subproject also contains departments where you can find information on how to assess and categorize a Rams football article or non-article. You can also find information on how and where to use Rams football related templates. Our most important department is our manual of style. Here you will find our guidelines on how to structure and create articles and lists related to the Los Angeles Rams.

Goals
[edit]

Our primary goal is to "standardize content by implementing our manual of style, following guidelines accepted by the Los Angeles Rams WikiProject and her parent National Football League project, adhering to policy, and improving the quality of content". Our manual of style is constantly enforced and updated. However, sometimes it slips away, questions about new additions come up, or changes are made. In these cases, it is important to make sweeping changes to enforce the new version of the manual of style. Other times, ideas are tested on articles and then added to the manual. In general, this goal is attained through adherence to our manual of style, which in turn adheres to all policies and most guidelines. Since this is a subproject of the National Football League project, in general the guidelines set forth in this parent project will also be the guideline in our project. Please remember that there is a significant difference between policy and guideline.

The Wikipedia policy will be strictly enforced by our project. This includes nominating articles for deletion, blocking vandals, upholding consensus in a firm but civil manner, and holding talkpage discussions. Also, remember the first rule of Wikipedia according to founder Jimbo Wales: Ignore all rules.

Our secondary goal is to "improve all material to at least Good Article or Featured List status". This is an attainable long-term goal if all material follows all policies and the manual of style as stated in our primary goal. This goal will require synergy and hard work, but the reward is a sense of accomplishment.

Our short-term goals, in order of priority, include:

  1. Increase the number of participants to 20.
  2. Develop our manual of style.
  3. Develop our categories department.
  4. Develop our templates department.
  5. Bring the St. Louis Rams article up to at least a Good Article.
  6. Bring the History of the St. Louis Rams article up to at least a Good Article.
