Uncommon from Commons is an image exhibition at Wikipedia Day 2017 in New York City. Images in the collection were chosen by the following criteria -

  1. Hosted in Wikimedia Commons, the media repository which serves all languages of Wikipedia and related Wikimedia projects
  2. Produced with the support, affiliation, or some regional connection to Wikimedia New York City, which is the Wikimedia community chapter hosting the local Wikipedia Day event
  3. Selected by a guest curator. The curator for this collection is , a Wikipedia editor, Wikimedia Commons contributor, and photographer

The Framing Gallery in Hawthorne, New York was instrumental in creating the physical works and donated time and art easels to support the exhibition.
