The Wikipedia Johor Meetup 7 (the 11th Wikipedia meetups in Malaysia) was the first Wikipedia meetup held at social charity institution in Malaysia, which was a place for people with various disabilities. It was also be the first Johor meetup to be held outside Johor Bahru District. The meetup was held on:
- Date: Saturday, 14 April 2018
- Time: 2:00-4:00 p.m.
- Venue: Handicapped and Mentally Disabled Children Association Johor Bahru, Saleng, Kulai District, Johor, Malaysia
- Medium of communication: English

Minutes of meeting
[edit]- The meetup was held with the staffs of the disabled house, including the staffs, therapists and nurses who handle the disabled people in their day-to-day work.
- The introduction of Wikimedia Community User Group Malaysia.
- The introduction of various possibility Wikipedia and other Wikimedia Foundation projects to create the awareness of disabled people in the country.
- Understand various government and non-government institutions handling people with disability-related affairs in Malaysia.
- Get to know any statistical value of disability in Malaysia.
- Understand the treatment (one time or continuous) made to people with disability.
- List down various benefits and concession applicable to people with disability in Malaysia under the law.
- Understand the special classes and schools available in Malaysia for students with disability.
- Understand the various awareness and seminar programs made by government regarding people with disability.
- Get to know if there is any special day in Malaysia for the disabled (3 December).
- Understand how Wikipedia can be used (or modified) to suit people with some level/degree of disability (especially the visually impaired people). We finally managed to figure it out by copy pasting the article content into Google Translate and click on the speaker icon so that it will read it out to the user. However, it will be better if any visually-impaired people can search article by using voice input only, and with one click can let the article read for itself.

Disability access
[edit]The venue is 100% disabled-friendly place. The meetup venue is located on the ground floor with easy wheelchair access, equipped with toilet on the same floor.
