Event details

[edit]
  • Location: THINC Lab, 2nd Floor, McLaughlin Library University of Guelph
  • Date: Thursday March 8th, 2018
  • Time: 9am - 4 pm

Join us in THINC Lab for a Feminist Wikipedia Edit-a-thon, with a focus on women's histories, inspired by Art+Feminism, a "do-it-yourself and do-it-with others campaign"!

Edit women into Wikipedia: update or create entries on women — broadly conceived — across disciplines. Possible topics include visual artists, poets, scientists, activists, philosophers, and more — draw on your passion and expertise!

Stop by THINC Lab to edit, research, read, or lend support to others helping to re-situate women in Wikipedia. We'll have tutorials for those new to editing at 9 am and 1pm, as well as reference materials, refreshments (including caffeine!)and stickers! Bring your laptop, power cord, and ideas for entries that need updating or creation.

We invite people of all gender identities and expressions to participate. This event is free and open to the public.
