Wikipedia:Meetup/Columbus/Wikipedia Connection Workshops/Spring 2016/11

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is Wikipedia Connection's eleventh workshop of the Spring 2016 semester at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. The event is open for students, staff, and anyone else interested in coming together to discuss and edit Wikipedia. Each workshop usually begins with an introduction and short lesson about an aspect of Wikipedia (e.g. defining notability, what makes a source reliable, using images, etc.). Participants then start editing articles that interest them, and are encouraged to focus on the lesson matter. Experienced editors are available to answer questions, help make edits, and point editors in the right direction as needed.

Food and drink is provided, along with printed help materials and some goodies. No registration needed. At this workshop, we'll be discussing the upcoming Wikipedia Takes Columbus event, receiving a presentation on photography from Philip Arnold, working on our list of buildings at Ohio State, and editing.
