Join us for an edit-a-thon on climate change related topics.

Logistics and schedule

MOVED TO VIRTUAL ON ZOOM given the dire weather. All are welcome, but please register here first. The event will be from 1-3pm; the first half will cover getting started editing and the second half will be a hands-on workshop. Bring a laptop, or use the computers in the room.

Approximate schedule:

  • 1:05-1:40 - an overview of Wikipedia's structures and policies; getting started with article editing
  • 1:40-2:00 - MIT library resources on climate change; MIT climate portal overview
  • 2:00-3:00 - hands-on work time

Getting started

To get started, first create an account if you have not already done so.

We'll cover how to edit during the editathon but you can also practice ahead of time.

  • After you create an account, you can practice and make test edits in your sandbox, a test space.
