Infobox image not displaying

[edit]

The infobox image for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, File:Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth Cover Art.jpg, shows up as an empty rectangle in the infobox, displays an error message when I click on it ("Error: could not load image from https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/0f/Like_a_Dragon_Infinite_Wealth_Cover_Art.jpg"), and shows the filename instead of the image on the File: page. I'm using Microsoft Edge on Windows 10, and all other images load fine on Wikipedia and elsewhere. I'm not the person who uploaded the image or added it to the infobox, so I don't know if the file is corrupted or anything. QuietCicada (talk) 00:01, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to be rendering fine on my end. You can try to Wikipedia:Bypass your cache and see if that clears it, and failing that check which load error you're getting in the browser console. WelpThatWorked (talk) 00:14, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The cache-bypass trick didn't work in Edge or Chrome; I looked at the developer tools in Chrome and saw "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()" for the image URL. I'm just glad that it's working for others. QuietCicada (talk) 00:19, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've deleted and reuploaded it (from a smaller source, rather than resizing it ourselves), which seems to have fixed the old version as a side effect. —Cryptic 01:08, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's visible now. Thank you. QuietCicada (talk) 01:10, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Cite what?

[edit]

So, recently I found out that in some countries, the artwork of Troye Sivan's Something To Give Each Other is replaced with the "Rush" single artwork due to its… implications.

I want to add this info to both their pages, but I'm not sure which sources I can use to cite. Baxyofh4rd (talk) 00:22, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Baxyofh4rd: Hi there! Start with the source where you read the information. If you have an issue finding a reliable published source, you could ask for assistance at Talk:Something to Give Each Other. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 01:49, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, so my source is this Apple Music page, but I've never referenced anything in source mode (since I want to add this to the infobox). Could you please help? Baxyofh4rd (talk) 02:10, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Baxyofh4rd: While that source shows a different image, it doesn't explain why it uses a different image. You'll need a better source if you want to discuss the "implications". Again, Talk:Something to Give Each Other is the best place for you to have this discussion. GoingBatty (talk) 03:51, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

I decided to look through the userboxes, and started to wonder if there were any based on animation is general. Not adult/teen animation or anime, just some good ol' toons (I am, in particular, looking for a SpongeBob one.) Any help would be appreciated! Industrial Insect (talk) 03:13, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There's a few right where you'd expect them at Special:Prefixindex/Template:User SpongeBob. Also some in userspace at User:Donny Doughnut/Userboxes/User SpongeBob SquarePants, User:MyMii/Userboxes/SpongeBob, and User:Pichu8boy/Userboxes/SpongeBob. —Cryptic 03:35, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
..and apparently a whole category at Category:SpongeBob SquarePants user templates. —Cryptic 03:46, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks! Industrial Insect (talk) 13:52, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. Pocket Noodle (talk) 07:10, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It was moved there as a "draft" and a comment was left by Theroadislong, saying that external links placed in the article must be removed.
Once it's done, you can submit the draft for review. Regards. 🛧Midori No Sora♪🛪 ( ☁=☁=✈) 07:46, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Pocket Noodle was asking for someone else's sandbox to be moved to article space. That's inappropriate. It's up to Gman2000b to submit their work as a draft, move it, or request a move when they feel it is ready, not for someone else to take over. Pocket Noodle is now indef'ed for "not here to build an encyclopedia, disruptive editing, trolling, probable sock" Meters (talk) 17:19, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"Comparison of the side elevations of the Golden Gate Bridge and some notable bridges at the same scale. (click for interactive version)". I can't remove the full stop (according to MOS:CAPTIONS, since the sentence represents a fragment, it's correct to remove it). JackkBrown (talk) 17:44, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I could argue that it is a complete sentence, with the introductory words "This is a . . ." assumed. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 5.71.208.84 (talk) 18:30, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So not a complete sentence as written. Bazza (talk) 19:08, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@JackkBrown: To remove the period, you could edit {{Comparison of notable bridges.svg}}. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 18:53, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

draft wikipedia articele

[edit]

When I am working on a draft article, how do I safe it so I can work on it the following day and how do I find it. Thank you Robert Robert T. deGavre (talk) 21:57, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Robert T. deGavre. You need to click the Publish button on the draft page, which is the same as "Save" on most word processors. This doesn't publish the draft for review, but does commit your changes.
However, looking at your Special:Contributions/Robert T. deGavre (which is a list of all your edits), I don't see any drafts. Could you have been logged out while you were drafting it? Could you check your web browser history?
I also answered on your Talk Page. Qcne (talk) 22:18, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
