Bruno Vain page deletion

[edit]

Hello:

Just wanted to enquire about the deletion of my "Bruno Vain" entry last year. I must have missed the notifications about the nomination for deletion User_talk:Nbfree. I believe I should contact user by the name of "Czar" but not sure where and how to do so. I will be more than happy to rewrite any portion to make it conform to Wikipedia policies if needed. Would appreciate your help very much Nbfree (talk) 00:03, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Nbfree: If you want to Contact "Czar", you can do so at https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User_talk:Czar (create a new section there). However, Before doing so I would recommend that you make a list of your WP:THREE main sources a future article would be based on. You can find a list of sources commonly discussed with regards to their reliability at WP:RSP. Victor Schmidt (talk) 06:00, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can File:Ye Ethiopia Lijoch TV.jpeg move to Wikimedia Commons for threshold of originality? The Supermind (talk) 07:04, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@The Supermind: If you don't get an answer here, try WP:MCQ, where the copyright experts answer questions. RudolfRed (talk) 02:44, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What is Going on Here, Pronoun Confusion?

[edit]

I was just reading an article about Demi Lovato. As I was reading, I noticed a series of subject pronoun errors. Do you folks not edit your work, or have you capitulated to the new labeling of persons who refuse to be identified by our acknowledge their gender? (*here, the pronoun "their" is used correctly / conventionally).

I have donated to Wikipedia in the past because it has been a useful place to go for information on certain subjects. But if Wikipedia is going to expect me to relearn the use of pronouns in order to make sense of its articles, then I'll just forget about using it as a source. I will look at other articles, but if I continue to see consistent misguided attempts to accommodate the agenda of a tiny portion of our population, I will definitely say adios to Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:646:9a80:b180:d4da:1dec:f1c6:f19f (talk)

Lovato has identified as non-binary and asks to be referred to as they/them. Wikipedia respects this because independent reliable sources have reported it. You are free to believe what you wish, but if you refuse to call people what they want to be called, that says more about you than them and we will have to get by without your visiting. Wikipedia does not change content because of donations or refusing to donate; otherwise everyone would blackmail Wikipedia to change its content. 331dot (talk) 16:39, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Additional to the above - Wikipedia does not change content because you don't like it either. Chaheel Riens (talk) 16:56, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Malformed Afd

[edit]

When I try to lvote on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2021 May 22#List of weapons in the American Civil War, it's showing the templates for the following Afds as well. I don't want to touch it with a ten-foot pole (not a Civil War weapon) until it's fixed. Clarityfiend (talk) 21:29, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I hope I've corrected the malformatted AFD. If I've got it wrong, someone will hopefully sort it out. - David Biddulph (talk) 21:52, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Working now. Thanks. Clarityfiend (talk) 04:21, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Help from Template editors needed

[edit]

Hello, I recently added a template edit request for Template:Editnotices/Page/Ramdev at its talk page, but I found out that Category:Wikipedia template-protected edit requests has a backlog ranging from 7th April to today. So, I'm directly here to ask for help, so that my request for edit at Template talk:Editnotices/Page/Ramdev is seen by some editor who could help by making the requisite edit. Thanks. Cheers! @CX Zoom: sure, I'll get on it. Elli (talk | contribs) 04:28, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
