Request to change page name

[edit]

Hi there,

appreciate if you can help to change the page name from InstaReM to Instarem instead.

Same with the URL. Please help to change from

InstaReM

to

Instarem — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lopmonsays (talkcontribs)

Lopmonsays Changing an article title(not "page name") requires moving the article, please go to requested moves to make a request. 331dot (talk) 08:28, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It appears you have already done that, please be patient. 331dot (talk) 08:30, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The request submitted at WP:RM was invalid, so another editor has removed it. Case is significant in page titles. --David Biddulph (talk) 09:22, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Lopmonsays: Based on your post here, I have restored and fixed your request at Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests. (Please remember to sign your posts on talk pages by typing four keyboard tildes like this: ~~~~. Or, you can use the [ reply ] button, which automatically signs posts.) Looks like page has been moved now. Joseph2302 (talk) 13:26, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Am trying to delete a page I created but Im having login issues

[edit]

Hi,

I can't log in even after receiving a temporary password.

The 1st link still appears in google search as a re-direction, but I don't need the redirection so please delete it, if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure you are typing in your username and password exactly correct. That may sound silly to hear, but it is a common login error. If you are still unable to log in, you will need to create a new account and identify it as a successor to your old account("I am JohnDoe, I previously used JohnPublic but lost access") What you are describing could have been accomplished simply as a page move. Since the first title is a plausible search term, it shouldn't be outright deleted, but converted to a redirect. 331dot (talk) 09:53, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The redirect was indeed created from a page move. - David Biddulph (talk) 10:00, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the redirect was created from a page move. I was able to solve the issue once finally logging in. Thank you both for responding.

[edit]

Can someone revert this edit. The page is semi-protected. The user is clearly not aware of or fails to understand the guidelines. If possible, please a take a look at their their edits too, they have made multiple such contributions — many of them in contentious and protected areas. 2001:FD0:200:400:0:0:0:2 (talk) 14:29, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@2001:FD0:200:400:0:0:0:2 (talk): You should create a new edit request in the article's talk page, specifying why that edit is wrong. Also, if you believe the user in question, Javelin 1411, is being disruptive, try talking to them. If that doesn't work, start a new section in the administrator's noticeboard for incidents. Roger that. Thank you 2405:201:4013:805C:9A2:9C83:8AAC:EB3 (talk) 21:20, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Images of recent artwork

[edit]

I'm trying to figure out where I can go to ask this question.

In a few months I'm going to be near Behalt, an absolutely huge 1992 cyclorama. I'd like to get a photo, but I want to make sure I'm taking one that we can actually use. What do I need to do to be on the ultra-safe side with at least a few shots? For context, google image search. If, for instance, I take a photo of a speaker who has the mural behind him, is that usable? Or if there are multiple people viewing who obscure part of the artwork? If I take it on a diagonal so you can't actually see the painting clearly but are just getting an idea of the size of the thing? —valereee (talk) 20:05, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Valereee, according to Non-free content/images, photos of non-free art works are acceptable in the context of "critical commentary", so I recommend that you work on improving that aspect of the article. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 21:09, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Cullen328, oh, and coincidentally I've just requested help finding an article in a scholarly journal which I suspect does just that! Thanks! —valereee (talk) 21:33, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

INCOMPLETE INFO ON PAGE

[edit]

Wanted to update information on the following page: www.amp.ww.en.freejournal.org/4156039/1/pauline-family.html

It lists the "Pauline Saints and Blesseds" as you can see they also list the Servants of God (which is fine), but they neglect to list:

Servant of God Antonietta Guadalupi 1947-2001, Final Professed Member of the Aggregated Institute of Our Lady of the Annunciation

Hello, IP editor, this is the help desk for the English-language Wikipedia. Your question does not seem to pertain to Wikipedia.--Quisqualis (talk) 23:04, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think they are probably looking at a mirror of the Wikipedia article Pauline Family. Pawnkingthree (talk) 23:43, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
IP editor, if you would like to request a change for the Wikipedia article Pauline Family, I suggest you do so on the article's talk page: Talk:Pauline Family. Please be sure to include the source you listed here. Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 04:56, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
