The Hun Sen page
[edit]Is a lawsuit really necessary to get this page cleaned up, according to standards of objectivity?
Defamation is not something that is taken lightly and a lawsuit would definitely damage the reputation of Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.144.79.138 (talk) 04:17, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, please see WP:NLT. If you have concerns about a page please raise them at the article talk page. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 05:23, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- Legal treats are not something that is taken lightly. You will be prohibited from editing until you retract your legal threat. If there is any unreferenced derogatory material about a living person on any page at Wikipedia, then you or anyone else can remove that material without discussion: see WP:BLP. If the material i referenced, then discuss it on the article's talk page.-Arch dude (talk) 15:38, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
Help logging in
[edit]Seems my account is kind of goofed up.
username nerys
it won't let me log in (yes I am using the right password as of the last time I logged in quite some time go)
I tried a password reset but I get the reply user nerys has no email address ????
not wrong address. NO email address so I can't reset
I tried to sign up new but it says account name already in use (I know. by me)
I don't want a new username.
How do I fix it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.26.222.9 (talk) 04:18, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- If you forget your password and dont have an email set in your preferences, you can only register a new account with a different username. If you somehow remember the password of the old account, please choose one of them, see WP:SOCK. Victor Schmidt mobil (talk) 04:50, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- Are you sure it's a Wikipedia account? There are thousands of other wikis using the same software. User:nerys only has edits to the German Wikipedia de:Special:Contributions/Nerys, and they are from 2004 to 2008. PrimeHunter (talk) 08:32, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- The English Wikipedia account was renamed to User:Nerys~enwiki in 2015 and then to User:Nerys71. Special:Contributions/Nerys71 shows two edits from 2006 and 2015. Is that you? PrimeHunter (talk) 08:41, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
REPLY THANK YOU. that was is. right password wrong username :-) Derp :-)
can i create my own wikipedia page? my profile?
[edit]can i create my own wikipedia page? my profile? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rahul9814571162 (talk • contribs) 07:36, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- Rahul9814571162, if you mean create a WP-article about yourself, don't do that, see Wikipedia:Autobiography. If you are interested in editing WP about other stuff, you can use your userpage User:Rahul9814571162 to write something about what you are interested in editing on WP, but it's not meant to tell the world a lot about yourself in general. [edit]I need to write an article and my autobiography. Can you help me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gerageza (talk • contribs) 07:47, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- Don't try to write your autobiography, see Wikipedia:Autobiography. On writing other articles, see Help:Your first article. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 07:51, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
Reverting a move when there's an ongoing move discussion
[edit]I reverted this move [1] as there was an ongoing move discussion which does not seem to have consensus and the closer gave no indication they had read the discussion or were summarising the consensus and indeed did not do so after several hours. The move discussion had also not been open for 7 days. This seems to have caused the bot to think the move discussion had ended. I tried to fix this by relisting [2] but that doesn't seem to have helped either. I added back the move notice on the article and so far the bot has not reverted me, but have no idea what to do about Wikipedia:Requested moves/Current discussions as so far the bot still hasn't added it back. Do I just have to wait, have I done something wrong, or is there something else I need to do? Nil Einne (talk) 08:32, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- Ironically the bot went to work just after I posted. So looks like this is resolved unless someone notices something else I did wrong. Nil Einne (talk) 08:51, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
What did I break?
[edit]Hi, I just made this edit to fill in a bare reference in 2019 in the United Kingdom and it's broken something...but I can't work out what that it is that got broke. There are now several messages at the bottom of the page in big angry red letters declaring "The time allocated for running scripts has expired." It's never happened before as far as I'm aware. Can anyone help? Cheers, This is Paul (talk) 12:52, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- The reference seems to work OK for me. What seems to be wrong? Dbfirs 13:05, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- Looks like a temporary glitch, as all those warning messages have now vanished. Mikenorton (talk) 13:15, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- The message was appearing once below the references table, and then several times in the External links section, but I've just checked again and both sections are looking as they should now. I never thought, but I should have taken a screenshot of it. I will if it happens again. This is Paul (talk) 13:18, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
Change the picture.
[edit]Hey, I wanted to request to change the main image of the actress- Sonnalli Seygall. How do I go further about it?
Please help.
Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 42.106.192.40 (talk) 14:51, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, IP user. The most important question is, Do have access to a picture which the copyright owner has explicitly released under a license such as CC-BY-SA? If you have a picture you took yourself, then you can upload it, and license it as you do so. Otherwise, the copyright owner (usually the photographer) would need to release it: see donating copyright materials. If you have passed that hurdle, then you can upload the picture to Wikimedia Commons, and replace the picture in the Sonnalli Seygall with the new one. Please see Help:Uploading images. --ColinFine (talk) 15:04, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- There are a few alternatives at [3], but IMO none of them is an improvement on the current. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:49, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
Posters
[edit]How can I put posters on movie pages with jpg? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.4.168.228 (talk) 16:41, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- Take a look at WP:FILMPOSTER. Carefully read the linked page about non-free content. You will need to create an account before you can upload an image. -Arch dude (talk) 01:49, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
Why is this Wikitable missing a border?
[edit]Please see the second table in the middle of this page: User talk:Joseph A. Spadaro/Sandbox/Page126. Between the second row (the row with Number, Name, Date, Notes) and the third row (the row entry for Preston McBride), there should be a light black or gray "borderline", separating the two rows. (Like there is, in between every other row.) Why is that missing? How do I fix it? (If you want, you can make edits / revisions in the third table at the bottom of the page.) Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 17:26, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- It didn't happen to me in Google Chrome but the row above had invalid rowspans which might mess with some browsers, and if I removed sortable then the table structure got messed up in another worse way for me. Does [4] solve it for you? PrimeHunter (talk) 21:34, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- @PrimeHunter: Yes, that solved the problem. Thanks! It seems that the problem, as you uncovered, was that erroneous "rowspan" value. Thanks again! Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 03:55, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
