[edit]Help with Image
[edit]Hello, good day, i have a logo of my college, i have been given the permission to use, although, i dont really know how to register it, everytime i upload it and give the right credits to the right person, it already shows as copyrighted and it gets taken down, ive tried going through the wikipedia Wizard multiple times and also tried on the Creative Commons web page, im really not sure what im doing wrong, any help is appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.231.55.144 (talk) 18:26, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- The logo is probably copyright, so it would not be appropriate to upload it to WP:Commons where anyone else would be free to use it for any purpose. I don't think your "permission" extends to that. I suggest that you upload it just to the article on your college under WP:Fair use. See Wikipedia:Logos for further guidance. Dbfirs 19:52, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
Terrorism detail for the United States
[edit]I'm reviewing the details for terrorism within the United States , it seems an extreme group has been left out... Antifa. Where there are attacks with no to limited deaths and injuries listed under terrorism, none have appeared for when Antifa has thrown Molotov cocktails or when a group chased after a car and caused damage etc. There were similar situations list for the opposing side. A Molotov cocktail by definition is a petrol bomb. They brought them, it was therefore premeditated... An attack. In order to get a good grasp on the violence in today's society , isn't it necessary to have both extremists listed when they go to violence? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.45.215.222 (talk) 19:33, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- Do you have reliable sources (in particular, professionally-published mainstream academic or journalistic sources) that describe them as a significant terrorist group?
- Because most neutral sources point out that most domestic terrorists groups and attacks tend to be far-right. This source from the Congressional Research Service notes that white supremacists were responsible for caused more attacks and deaths "than any other domestic extremist movement," and also notes that Antifa is largely non-violent and the few attacks they've made were intended as defense against violence from neo-Nazis.
- The "both sides" narrative is used to excuse and enable neo-Nazi terrorists. Maybe you could try ensuring that those who share your political beliefs denounce neo-Nazism, white supremacism, and similarly anti-human beliefs, instead of engaging in the sort of tribalism that the neo-Nazis want. please create a series of articles regarding ability to bend spoons with electro mechanical energy
[edit]simple. less words the better. every body's body has energy. we could not hold up our socks without friction and static. when out pants are falling down, we walk funny to keep our pants up. different muscles are activated, and different chemicals are submitted to our muscles and pants. now new electric energy hits out body and pants nd creates friction. simple. so if the body is electric and magnetic, then bending a spoon is possible. how. strength of volume of output. smokers are stronger than non smokers, for example. those that practice personal skin care, are more strong than those who don't. why? electro mechanical energy + renewable energy. toe oils + tongue oils make new oils and nutrients. at baseline. add radio frequency carbon monoxide, and now smoker and skin care expert has even more. due to addictive effect of carbon monoxide. smokers share common network. hence smokers are a union, and share chemicals. and nutrients. back to ben spoon. union members are more powerful add "block chain financing", and the seemingly impossible can be achieved in networked unions, or what is called telemedicine. so if this person can bend a spoon, other may. simple. last. that is evolution in a nutshell. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:6000:8A02:8D00:4542:E7B6:6164:F06F (talk) 20:34, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- There will be no such article on Wikipedia until the subject has been written about in WP:Reliable sources. I don't know anyone who can bend spoons without trickery or simple physical force. Dbfirs 21:38, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- Our article is Spoon bending. It has reliable sources. -Arch dude (talk) 21:44, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- It'd be a good idea for you to read WP:FRINGE and WP:No original research. Ian.thomson (talk) 21:50, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
Inserting Link
[edit]I added an external link, however it stays black. How do I change the color of the link to blue? I cannot find a color menu on the edit page. This is what I typed in:
- I. Urieli Stirling Cycle Machine Analysis — Preceding unsigned comment added by Urieli I (talk • contribs) 20:56, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- There is no colour menu. Only the text in the link will be blue. I've included your name in blue, as author, though in general we discourage such self-publicity on Wikipedia. Dbfirs 21:50, 14 November 2018 (UTC)

Incorrect, biased information
[edit]I shall no longer use or support Wikipedia, it has become increasingly used as a tool to push personal agendas, an example of which is the positive promotion of women and women’s issues and the negative portrayal of men and men’s issues. I am a young woman but I am increasingly frustrated and disappointed by the lack of unbiased information and the use of questionable citations and ‘evidence’. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.112.156.131 (talk) 22:48, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- The way to counter any perceived bias is to provide WP:Reliable sources that present the alternative view. If you just remove sources that you don't like, then your edits are liable to be reverted. That's how Wikipedia works to avoid bias either way. I agree that the article lacks balance and seems to describe a specific American organisation. Dbfirs 22:59, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- It's possible that you have actually identified a type of systematic bias. There are lots of them, and we try fairly hard to fight it. Look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Countering systemic bias. Raise your concerns on that project's talk page instead of complaining here at help desk. That way, you might actually help us improve Wikipedia. -Arch dude (talk) 01:47, 15 November 2018 (UTC)
