[edit]Infobox problem
[edit]Si
I just filled in the infobox of the Miami mayoral election, 2017 but the number of votes do not appear, neither do the percentages. Also, the n game of Suarez below does not appear as "Mayor after election". Can someone fix it? Thanks.
WhatsUpWorld (talk) 00:11, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hi WhatsUpWorld. See I fixed two template fields, type = presidential (means the type of template needed, not the type of election} and ongoing=no since the election is over. Results don't display for ongoing elections. The explanations at Template:Infobox election could make this clearer. StarryGrandma (talk) 02:40, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
Creating a page.
[edit]Recently, I've been drawn into Yugoslavian/Serbian music, and have grown fond of an artist known as Rodoljub Vulovic, better known as Roki Vulovic. I've searched a lot about him, however I've noticed that he has no Wikipedia page. I went to go create one with all the info I've scraped up about him, and hopefully others will add to that. However, as I was about to create it, it gave me some message about how the 'page' is protected, and according to my understanding, means only an admin can create or modify it. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:37E7:E280:3873:E3FD:CED4:94F3 (talk) 03:42, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
- While the article Roki Vulovic is create protected, Rodoljub Vulovic is not. But please don't rush to create the article. Roki Vulovic was create protected as it was repeatedly recreated despite being deleted after multiple deletion discussions concurred on the same (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rodoljub Vulović (2nd nomination) and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rodoljub Vulović). On Wikipedia, articles need to qualify on Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Specifically, articles on people need to qualify on WP:BIO, with multiple reliable sources discussing the subject significantly. Please give a good read to these guidelines to understand them. If you believe you have access to multiple reliable sources that discuss the subject significantly, then list them here for a fair assessment. You can also list them at the reliable sources noticeboard to check whether your sources have the depth required to create the said article. If you get consensus on the same, request CambridgeBayWeather to lift the create protection, and then follow the procedure listed at your first article to re-create the article. Write back for more assistance. Thanks, Lourdes 08:54, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

- Try reading Help:Image tutorial. --David Biddulph (talk) 05:21, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
- Try using the correctly formatted link at the commons page as has been mentioned before. You will find it above the image next to the Wikipedia logo (not the one next to the 'web' icon) where it says 'Use this file'. Eagleash (talk) 09:45, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

- @Jasminehanes7: Hello, there are several persons named Michael Jackson... see Michael Jackson (disambiguation). Michael Jackson (actor) should not be confused with Michael Jackson the musician. Please sign your posts on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~). Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 18:36, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
hi
[edit]can you chat on here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chocolatefingas (talk • contribs) 18:46, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Chocolatefingas: Hello, not in the sense that you probably mean. The various talk pages you see are to discuss making improvements to the Wikipedia articles. There is no 'social media' aspect to the encyclopedia. Eagleash (talk) 19:02, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

The Last of a Breed
[edit]Hi, I am the author of The Last of a Breed, the only book about the entire flying/aviation cadet program in what eventually became the usaf. Our web site is now: www.aviationcadet.org/home.aspx we would greatly appreciate your changing the one you have. Another interesting fact: You show Bruce Ashcroft "We wanted wings..." in the credits. The exact truth of the matter is this: Bruce was sent to our home by the history office at Randolph. This is where we had a great many records of the flying/aviation cadet program, memorabilia etc. We have since formed the aviation cadet museum, Inc. here in Eureka Springs, AR where all of this now resides. He was actually doing research for his doctorate, which we did not know about. He lived with us for about a week using our information to write his aforementioned book. Most of his information came from my book and our records. He didn't give me or us but little credit for the huge amount of his information. I just wanted the record straight as my wife and I are the only ones who know of all this. Bruce died of a heart attack very shortly after his book came out.

- I suspect, based on your question, that you found one of our over 6 million articles and thought we were affiliated in some way with that subject. Please note that you are at Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia that anyone can edit, and this page is for asking questions related to using or contributing to Wikipedia itself. Thus, we have no special knowledge about the subject of your question. You can, however, search our vast catalogue of articles by typing a subject into the search field on the upper right side of your screen. If you cannot find what you are looking for, we have a reference desk, divided into various subject areas, where asking knowledge questions is welcome. Best of luck. --Orange Mike | Talk 00:20, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- More precisely: this seems to be about Last of the Breed, but I am not sure which edit is requested, or whether that is an edit to be done on Wikipedia at all. TigraanClick here to contact me 12:20, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- No, probably about Aviation Cadet Training Program (USAAF), where Severe's book is listed in further reading, and Ashcroft's book is cited as one of the references. Lourdes 15:01, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

Citation number 39 is in red - please help fix - not sure what went wrong here with this edit. Sorry 49.188.10.37 (talk) 23:47, 18 December 2017 (UTC) Thankyou
- Done The error message is clear: 'check date value'; this year is 2017 not 2107. Can you really not spot that? Eagleash (talk) 23:59, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hello IP. You yourself added this wrong year of 2107 through this edit, and the citation number 39 clearly mentioned the error. Please don't repeatedly make mistakes, expecting editors to clean up after you. This may be considered disruptive editing. Thanks, Lourdes 00:07, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
