December 26

[edit]

I have donated ffs. How do I stop the endless begging for cash?

[edit]

Just that. I have paid but the bloody site endlessly begs for money, how to make it stop? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.146.66.187 (talk) 00:21, 26 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for donating. There is a fundraising campaign this month. I don't work with it but meta:Fundraising#December 15, 2014 Campaign Update (written December 15) says: "Banners have been showing to all readers these past two weeks. At this point, we are starting to limit the number of banners each reader sees. We will run the campaign at a higher traffic level again at the end of December for a final year-end push." I guess you are seeing this final push. Registered users have the option "Suppress display of the fundraiser banner" at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets. It's free to register. Help:Cite errors/Cite error included ref

The error message says: "Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).". If that isn't clear enough, the words "help page" are in blue, indicating that they are a wikilink to a page with specific guidance. I have reverted both of your edits. --David Biddulph (talk) 08:19, 26 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
