Wikipedia:GLAM/British Library/Bookbinding
Started January 2012. This is a sub-page of Wikipedia:GLAM/BL, the page for collaboration between Wikipedia and the British Library. Bookbinding is an area we do not cover very well. I've done some work on categories, both here and on Commons, and adding pictures. See Category:Bookbinding, which has had a good deal added. Johnbod (talk) 18:02, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
Philippa Marks, the BL bindings curator, has kindly donated her book (Marks, P.J.M.) Beautiful Bookbindings, A Thousand Years of the Bookbinder's Art, 2011, British Library, ISBN 9780712358231 to WMUK; it's with me (Johnbod), so please let me know if you would like to use it. We had a good talk on ways we might go forward. More later.
Bindings and decorated papers - This BL page is the best starting place for their considerable resources on bindings.
