Appearance
The Hrabri class consisted of two submarines built in the United Kingdom for the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (later Yugoslavia) and were both launched in 1927. Named Hrabri (Brave) and Nebojša (Fearless), their design was based on that of the British L-class submarine of World War I, and they were built using parts originally assembled for submarines of that class which were never completed. They were the first submarines to serve in the Royal Yugoslav Navy. Hrabri was captured and scrapped by the Italians in World War II, but Nebojša escaped, serving in a training role with the Royal Navy. After the war she served in the Yugoslav Navy as Tara until she was stricken in 1954.
