Reason: Yellowstone National Park itself is important enough: the oldest and largest of the U.S. National Parks, also a World Heritage Site. So why this old map of it? This happens to be one year older than the park itself and it was based upon the work of the geologist who played an important role in convincing Congress to establish Yellowstone. It's a remarkable example of nineteenth century surveying and a piece of history. Restored version of Image:Yellowstone 1871.jpg.
