- The whole hill could only be shown from above, in which case you wouldn't see its height. By subjects of this scale, it is often necessary to have multiple images to get the 'complete picture'. In this case, the hill is notable because it is part of Quito. The image depicts the hill's appearance from the historic centre of the city, as people living in the city see it every day.
