Nominating this, similar to List of University of Waterloo people and List of Athabasca University people. This list is for that special someone :p Gary King (talk) 00:18, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Now this is a list I appreciate. However, I did ask (very nicely) that you wait until some of your other noms closed before nominating new ones. As well, you missed Tuffy Knight. He coached the Golden Hawks football team for 20 years and is a member of the Laurier sports hall of fame. -- Scorpion0422 00:21, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Alright, no more until one of my lists are promoted. Scout's honor! Also, added. Gary King (talk) 00:28, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- This might help you find some of the notable athletes who might have pages here. Also, I'd like to see the lead expanded (doubled in size if possible). And it wouldn't hirt to add when Laurier was founded. -- Scorpion0422 00:50, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- The lead already mentions the founding date, at 1911. Also, it'd help if Wilfred Laurier University was improved greatly *cough cough* :] Also, I went through that list already and found all I could find, but I'll go through it again to make sure. - Support per Scorpion0422. GreenJoe 01:29, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Erm... I didn't support it, I just left a few comments. -- Scorpion0422 02:22, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I still support it. It's very well written. It cites sources. No red-links. The lead matches the MoS. GreenJoe 17:24, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Comments
- Is that it? No one is notable?
- This is a dynamic list, no? There's that template or something somewhere that should be included
- Is "Dicipline" the right word?
- I might hold back my support/oppose decision on this one until the discussions at Wikipedia talk:Featured list candidates have come to a conclusion, as the whole "is it complete" thing might apply here.

- Added the dynamic list template. Not sure what other word to use. Gary King (talk) 03:54, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment There's a bit of overlinking in the references section, and newspapers should be italicized. -- Scorpion0422 22:32, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I have italicized the newspapers. I prefer to keep all the publishers linked because when references get shuffled around, relinking them is quite often a big pain. In this particular case, it isn't as bad because there are relatively few references, but from my experiences working on articles with 100+ references, that's the habit I picked up. I don't think it is detrimental to an article at all because when a user wants to learn more about a publisher, they can click on it instead of looking for its first occurrence. - Came over to look at a few lists, per the proposal at WT:FAC. The table in "Faculty and alumni" is overwriting the images on the right. The dates in "Chancellors" use dashes incorrectly (see WP:MOSDATE, WP:DASH). The WP:LEAD needs prose attention:
- This is ... This only ... Wilfrid Laurier University is a public university and was founded in 1911.[1] It has
- This is, this only, not compelling. All four of the first sentences could be rewritten for better flow. And, the lead refers to " Wilfrid Laurier University", " Wilfrid Laurier" and "Laurier"; pick one. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:32, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- All done Gary King (talk) 02:50, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Support, but please try to fill out the redlinks in the last table. Maxim(talk) 23:19, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
