An all-round event was also held, combined the points from the results of four distance races. -- I think a word is missing after the comma because its current revision does not make sense. Fixed, and I tried rowording the entire bit about the all-round event. Lidiya Skoblikova, who represented the Soviet Union, is one of only two female Winter Olympians to win six gold medals (cross-country skier Lyubov Yegorova is the other). -- The Soviet Union is a pretty common term considering the Cold War. Done. Andrea Schöne, won won a silver medal in 1976, is the youngest female athlete in an individual event to win a medal. -- The first won should be "who" ;) Yep, I need to start getting a copyeditor to check these over before submitting, because these little errors are somewhat embarrassing. • There is a main article template at the top of the article pointing to Speed skating at the Winter Olympics, but it is also linked to in the first line under "is contested". Since Andrwsc considers these to be companion articles I don't mind if there's the template, but only one should be linked; pick one or the other. This should be consistant with all medalist articles, including List of Olympic medalists in alpine skiing and List of Olympic medalists in freestyle skiing.

Comments - Looks like a great list overall. Just some picky things before I support: "All ten events have been held at every Olympic Games since". I know 10 is the cutoff for many editors in terms of spelling numbers, but should it be given as a numeral? Done. "in 1928, he became the first speed skater to successfully defend their Olympic title." Their is plural, but I know you want to avoid gender-specific language. Therefore, I'd replace it with "an Olympic title." Done. "Claudia Pechstein and American Bonnie Blair...". Don't think Pechstein's first name should be repeated. Done. Couple of requested citations. First, one for Pechstein being one of four athletes to win gold at five straight Winter Games. Second, one for Cindy Klassen being one of five athletes to win five medals at a Winter Games. Considering that they both won gold at the last Winter Olympics, it shouldn't be too hard to find sources for them. I should be able to find sources, but is it really needed? That info is right out of the tables, and the tables are fully sourced. The medals they won are cited fine, but the "one of" parts aren't. There's nothing in the tables about what other athletes did. I normally use the larger em dashes to fill blank spaces, but I think the smaller dash will work better in this table, where the columns are small.
