This GA is a comprehensive account of one of the most colourful and decorated cricketers of Australia's inter-war period. All the match details and a thorough description of his unique style. Has been copyedited by a famous copyeditor. Blnguyen (bananabucket) 04:45, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - WP:LEAD suggests article of this size could have lead of 2-3 paragraphs. Think it'd be better balanced if it were expanded like this. --Dweller 12:32, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Further detailed comments going to article talk page to reduce congestion at FAC. --Dweller 12:33, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Update: All issues raised at talk page now dealt with. I'm copyediting and raising some more issues in the article itself... expect to be able to support very soon. --Dweller 13:06, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Further detailed comments going to article talk page to reduce congestion at FAC. --Dweller 12:33, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Support - lead has been fixed, and Dweller covered all bases and even some more than I found. Daniel 08:02, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Support All my concerns addressed and I've completed an additional copyedit. A lot of work's gone into this - kudos and congratulations to Blnguyen. --Dweller 09:22, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Support All concerns seem to have been addressed. Very comprehensive bio.--Sandahl 00:57, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment I'm not sure about the placement of the Style section - I would think it more appropriate to discuss this last... Also, several very short paragraphs at the end of Pre-war Test career section could do with being flowed together better. Finally, the reference says "best ashes teams " - should that be "best Ashes teams"? Otherwise a fine article. The Rambling Man 12:40, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Reply - I fised the last two points. In general, I would put the style towards the end, but in the case of famous stylists like Trumper/Macartney/Kippax, it would be more appropriate IMHO to put this first, as the reason why they are so well remembered is their grace and style, rather than sheer weight of run scoring.
