Myeloma Canada Request for Evaluation
[edit]Hello and Happy New Year.
I have started an article about the non-profit Myeloma Canada in my user page. However, before I further develop it, I would like to ask for an evaluation from another editor if it meets Wikipedia's NPOV and notability guidelines. And also suggestions how to improve the article.
Thank you very much and greatly appreciate suggestions and criticisms. Haengbokhada (talk) 15:08, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- I hope you do not have a conflict of interest (WP:COI). Anyway what you have looks reasonably neutral. However you should make some claims of importance as to why this should be in the encyclopedia. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:08, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- I know why you said that - but no, I don't have any conflict of interest (WP:COI)here, nor do in the other two articles I started - She's the First and Shanti Bhavan. I think they are important enough because of the work they are doing, and since they're also affiliated with the International Myeloma Foundation (already has an entry here) just connect them. What do you think? And thanks a lot Haengbokhada (talk) 01:42, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

GooFans
[edit]GooFans.com is a website for World Of Goo fans, where people can make modifications of the game and talk about it on the forums. When I was going through Wikipedia's Article Wizard I wasn't sure if the website had reliable sources. A lot of the content would be constructed from personal knowledge, but I'm sure that most of the content would be confirm-able simply by visiting the site. However, the creators of World Of Goo, 2DBoy, have actually redirected visitors of their forums to the forums of GooFans.com, and have referred to the website various times previously. Now, my question is, does GooFans.com have enough sources to have a Wikipedia page, or should such a page wait until it becomes better known and is more verifiable? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.61.115.90 (talk) 22:34, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- You will need to find more independent pages on the topic, that pages you talk about as references are not independent. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:35, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
BootB
[edit]BootB (acronym for "Brands out of the Box") is a creative crowdsourcing site that allows graphic designers to pitch for projects posted by comapnies and brands [1][2][3]. The company was founded in November 2007 by founder and CEO Pier Ludovico Bancale. BootB's head quarters are in Centennial Colorado.[4]
More then 29,000 users from over 158 countries currently work on Bootb. The simple business model allows comapnies or buyers to provide briefs for a range of design projects including web design, advertising solutions and branding. Graphic designers and advertisers can then submit solutions based on the breif. The buyer then selects the solution which best suits their objectives and pay the designer or advertiser the budget stated in the original brief. On average 203 solutions for eavery breif are offered by graphic designers and advertisers. The average budget awarded for chosen solutions is $3,741 USD.
Bootb handles the full payment, legal contract and communication between companies and desginers.
Do you think there are enough references and the content is passable? I have looked at similar companies who have profiles as models. Do I need to add some more in-depth information about the company?
- The information is enough for a start, but there is no references. THere should be at least 2 independent refs to show that the subject is one suitable for wikipedia. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:23, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
World's Maiden Poetic Treatises On Constitution ,Law and Governance
[edit]I recently came across some websites giving details about the , Topic World's Maiden Poetic Treatise on Constitution , Law and Governance, Web Sites Like
1. www.legalindian.com/.../ramayan-as-saviour-from-world-maiden-poetic-treatise-on-liberty-law-poet-dr-ak-jha/
2.http://wn.com SUPREME_COURT_INDIA_JUSTICE_VS_SIRPURKAR_MAGICAL_SPEECH_ON_AK_JHA_POETIC_CONSTITUTION_WORK_-3
and So on
The book/s are Written by author Dr. Arun Kumar jha and have been praised by various legal luminaries and present and retired Judges including one Justice V.S. Sirpurkar who is the sitting Supreme Court Justice. When I listened to the poetry in the videos it seemed insightful. Further, I also learnt from various sources that the print and other media have extensively reported about the book/s from time to time; For example The Press Trust of India on February 11 and 16th 2001,The United news of India (UNI)on February 24 2002, and The Deccan Herald on February 24th 2002
The videos are Just recitation of the poetry written in the book which are self evident.I want to start a discussion on the subject and later on create an article about the book/s after having views from the other editors/ members of this website.

- If what you say is right, the topic is notable and could have an article here. I would not count wn.com as a reliable source though. They seem to use a lot of copied stuff out of context. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:20, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
The Uniroyal Tire
[edit]- This page will be for the "world's largest tire" , aka the Uniroyal Tire in Allen Park, MI — Preceding unsigned comment added by Invictadante (talk • contribs) 18:56, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
- You could start by working on improving the section about it at Allen Park, Michigan#World's largest tire. Once you've gathered enough reliable sources and material about it, you could split that section out into its own article. Fences&Windows 00:38, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
