Hi. I can't tell from this anything about the subject, so I'm afraid I can't really help. If you want to add more context, we might be able to give you some opinions about establishing an article on Wikipedia. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:47, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shape and Structure of our Universe

[edit]

We have seen objects of various shapes, sizes and structures. For example, we have football which is round in shape. Even earth has a shape of its own which is round. As we move on with this question, we have found that even our galaxy, the milky way is SPIRAL in shape.

Now, the question I wish to put across is What is the shape of our Universe? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Biswaraj123 (talkcontribs) 03:34, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and Welcome to Wikipedia! :) In order to create an article about that person, you'll need to be able to assert notability per Wikipedia's notability guidelines on musicians, which will mean utilizing reliable secondary sources, like newspaper articles. An article of this sort would be covered by Wikipedia's guidelines on "biographies of living persons", which in part urges editors to be extremely careful not to include any information that isn't sourced, even if it's true, and also reminds us that biographies particularly must be written from a neutral point of view.
Since you don't include any sources above, I can't tell what kind of secondary referencing you have. If you are able to assemble necessary sources, you may choose to create the article yourself, but please be careful. Your name suggests you are closely associated with the subject; our conflict of interest guideline urges great caution, particularly with neutrality and not adding information you know to be true but cannot verify. It is strongly recommended that you do not create edit an article on a subject with which you have a conflict of interest but instead consider proposing its creation at requested articles or at a related article or relevant WikiProject. (See our guideline on autobiography for more.) The text you have above is not neutral. It reads like a press release and would almost certainly be immediately deleted for not meeting our basic inclusion guidelines in that the text is entirely promotional. Please see WP:CSD#G11, the deletion criterion related to this, and the guideline on promotion.
Although I have not done a search, I also have some concerns that the text reads like it might have been duplicated from another source. Just in case this is so, I wanted to add that for legal reasons, Wikipedia can't accept text that is duplicated from other sources unless we have external verification of permission. (See "Requesting copyright permission" for more.) This is true even if you were the original author of the material at the external source. Since we do not require identity verification on account creation, we must verify in this way.
If you choose to create it yourself, once you have registered, please search Wikipedia first to make sure that an article does not already exist on the subject. Help:Starting a new page should give you all the guidance you need, but you might also look at Wikipedia:Your first article and Wikipedia:How to write a great article. Please consider taking a tour through the Wikipedia:Tutorial so that you know how to properly format the article before creation. If you have a connection to the subject, as suggested by your user name, you should disclose your relationship at the article's talk page. You may also wish to seek feedback at the conflict of interest noticeboard to ensure that your article is not overly promotional. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:59, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and Welcome to Wikipedia! :) In order to create an article about that person, you'll need to be able to assert notability per Wikipedia's notability guidelines on biographies, which will mean utilizing reliable secondary sources, like newspaper articles. From what you say above, it seems that it would depend on how important those debates and biking competitions were, how heavily covered by media and where he placed. Since you cite no sources here, it is difficult to determine from the text. An article of this sort would be covered by Wikipedia's guidelines on "biographies of living persons", which in part urges editors to be extremely careful not to include any information that isn't sourced, even if it's true, and also reminds us that biographies particularly must be written from a neutral point of view.
