Dr. Maureen Mandipaza

Maureen Mbondiah Mandipaza[1] (born in Zimbabwe) is a Zimbabwean-British entrepreneur, philanthropist, and motivational speaker. She is the founder and CEO of Dravens Healthcare, a healthcare service provider in the United Kingdom, and the founder of Momentors Academy, an institution in Zimbabwe focused on empowering women through vocational training.

Early Life and Education

Maureen Mbondiah Mandipaza[2] began her career in healthcare after obtaining a Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health) from the University of Central England in 1998. She is currently pursuing an MBA in Leadership and Management from York St. John University in the UK to enhance her skills in business and healthcare management.

Personal Life

Dr. Maureen Mandipaza[3] is married and has three children. She continues to split her time between the United Kingdom and Zimbabwe, where she actively engages in various entrepreneurial and philanthropic endeavors. She is committed to fostering growth and development in communities, particularly focusing on initiatives that empower women and support economic stability.

Career

In 2016, Dr. Maureen Mandipaza[4] founded Dravens Healthcare, a company based in the United Kingdom that provides homecare and supported living services. Under her leadership, the company expanded its operations through a franchising model and gained a "GOOD" rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for its standards in care delivery.

Dr. Maureen Mandipaza is also involved in the construction industry through Dravens Construction, a company that manages various projects in Zimbabwe, including construction and heavy equipment hire.

In addition to her business ventures, Dr. Mandipaza has authored three books,[5][6][7] sharing her experiences and knowledge in entrepreneurship, leadership, and personal development.

Philanthropy

In addition to her business ventures, Dr. Maureen Mandipaza[8] has been active in community development. She established Momentors Academy in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe, which provides training in skills such as cooking, baking, marketing, and nail care. The academy's mission is to empower women by equipping them with skills necessary for economic independence and personal development.

In April 2024, Momentors Academy celebrated its first group of graduates. The institution focuses on teaching practical skills to help women become self-sufficient, contributing to poverty reduction and fostering resilience within the community.[9]

Dr. Maureen Mandipaza[10] has received numerous accolades for her contributions to business and community development. In recognition of her work, she was awarded an honorary doctorate by Power of Love Ministry and International Christian University. She was also named the Pneumapreneur of the Year in 2024 and was listed among the 100 Most Influential Women in Africa by the Business Executive.
