Automatic, Supervised, or Manual: automatic
Programming language(s): Go
Source code available: https://github.com/mashedkeyboard/yapperbot-uncurrenter
Function overview: Removing {{current}} templates from articles that no longer require the template (no changes in an extended amount of time)
Links to relevant discussions (where appropriate): Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/Yapperbot 2, [[User_talk:Sdkb#Removal_of_{{current}}]]
Edit period(s): Continuous
Estimated number of pages affected: Probably over 100 in initial run, but few after backlog is cleared
Exclusion compliant (Yes/No): Yes
Already has a bot flag (Yes/No): Yes
Function details: This bot task will take over Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/Yapperbot 2; that particular bot task seems to be inactive currently and as such {{current}} has ~190 transclusions, most of which are stale in terms of editing so the template shouldn't be present.
Naypta hasn't edited since 2020, but I'm happy to hand the task back to them should they return to editing. Since their task was open source, this task will run the same source code.

[edit]Speedily Approved. Straight copy of existing and approved code, so I see no reason to trial this. Primefac (talk) 09:20, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
