Automatic, Supervised, or Manual: automatic
Programming language(s): Python
Source code available:
Function overview: Add {{DSM copyright}} to the talk page of mental disorders listed at List of mental disorders.
Links to relevant discussions (where appropriate): WP:AWBREQ#Spam a template to 300 talk pages
Edit period(s): One time run.
Estimated number of pages affected: 227
Exclusion compliant (Yes/No): Yes
Already has a bot flag (Yes/No): Yes
Function details: Ping to WhatamIdoing and DreamRimmer.
Exact list of pages to have this added to can be found here: User:MolecularBot/DSMPages.json.
Template instructions state "Place this warning on the talk page for all articles about present and former conditions described in any edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders".
WAID requested this to help fulfill the template's instructions at WP:AWBREQ (DR commented), but an old-fashioned bot is better suited to this I believe because it doesn't require human verification. Template will be placed in the talk page below all other talk page top templates, but above the heading of the first discussion. Coding is already completed.

[edit]- (Userspace) trial complete. Using the fake list here User:MolecularBot/FakeDSMList.json, the bot successfully navigated a messy talk page User:MolecularBot/FakeDSMTalkPage and added the template to the correct place [1], leaving an appropriate template. Note that the part of the code to add "Talk:" in front of the page name in the list was disabled for this test run. MolecularPilot 🧪️✈️ 06:00, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- Denied. Runs less than ~500 are pointless and can be done with AWB. I'm honestly surprised this got a BRFA given that the bot operator has run rampant with their bot in the last 48 hours. Primefac (talk) 13:21, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
