Discussion
[edit]- Comment. Shouldn't this request be filed from the operator's account, not the bot's account? Logan Talk Contributions 02:01, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Note: This bot appears to have edited since this BRFA was filed. Bots may not edit outside their own or their operator's userspace unless approved or approved for trial. AnomieBOT⚡ 02:02, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Apologies - I was signed in as the bot rather than my account when submitting and subsequently editing the request. --Matthewgamble (talk) 02:15, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- So what exactly is the bot going to do here? Is it going to be read-only on Wikipedia, writing only to the private wiki? Or is it going to be trying to write things here? Anomie⚔ 03:05, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Updated 'Function details' , there is the potential to propagate edits & additional metadata back to the pages in Wikipedia - I haven't decided what edits will be handled by the bot or what edits will be handled by the user being dropped back into the standard wikipedia for editing themselves. I just thought it best to be a good citizen and get approval before forging ahead. Thanks. --Matthewgamble (talk) 17:16, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Lets see how it goes Approved for trial (7 days). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. (Note, this is with the understanding that manual means manual, specifically every edit must be approved by a human beforehand). --Chris 10:12, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
