Automatic or Manually Assisted: Automatic
Programming Language(s): AWB
Function Summary: Substituation of templates listed at Wikipedia:SUBST
Edit period(s) (e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run): Several times a week
Edit rate requested: 6-8 edits per minute
Already has a bot flag (Y/N): Y
Function Details: Using AWB's substitution features, subst user messages and other templates which haven't yet been subst'ed. Although there seem to be a number of bots listed for the task, I noticed that (while testing something) there are still huge substitution backlogs. Appropriate namespaces filters will be used to avoid breaking anything :).
Discussion
[edit]Speedily Approved.. This is a failry routine function for AWB bots, and operator has a good bot history. Please use "flag all edits minor" when subst'ing templates on user-talk pages to avoid the new messags banner. Until you have a few good runs (500+ susbt's) it would be wise to avoid the templates in the "under debate" section of Wikipedia:SUBST. — xaosflux Talk 14:01, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
