Function details:
Currently there are about 205, 000 articles in Category:United States articles without listas parameter that need |listas=
populated. I would like to automate the populating of some of these by using the information contained in |listas=
for WikiProject Biography. This will greatly reduce the number of articles in this category and make it easier to order them in the catalog.
Just to clarify I will start by doing this at this same time I do the WikiProject tagging approved in my previous request. That will help to reduce theh number of articles affected and minimize the number of edits done to articles.

- Performing the trial on 50 articles now. Do to the non-standard way that parameters are added and appear in the templates I am working through some issues.
- Bringing in parameters from the WikiProject Biography banner that are not valid in the WikiProject United States banner. -Fixed
- One thing extra here is that if the WikiProject Biography template has a valid parameter such as needs-photo or Infobox and those parameters are not no WikiProject United States then it will also add that if it appears in the Biography template. It must appear afterlistas and does not appear in the WPUS template. I went ahead and left this because its a net positive. Is that ok or do I need to exclude those helpful extra parameters from this logic as well?
- I added logic to remove duplicate listas parameters from the WPUS template. Just in case it tries to add listas to teh WPUS template that already has listas. --Kumioko (talk) 14:48, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Ok I think I've got it all fixed now. Admittadly, it doesn't catch 100% but it doesn't break anything either and it should be able to fix 90% without having to go about and manually add it. --Kumioko (talk) 16:33, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Not sure if were going with a 5 or 7 day week so forgive me if I'm rushing. --Kumioko (talk) 20:31, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
