Welcome to WikiProject British Overseas Territories. The aim of this project is to bring together editors working on articles related to the fourteen British Overseas Territories with an aim of of improving and expanding all aspects of the territories. Anybody with an interest or knowledge in the territories are welcome to contribute to or join this project. This project was founded on 5 November 2014. It has two sister projects, WikiProject French Overseas Departments and WikiProject United States Territories.

Please note that this WikiProject should only cover all of the present British Overseas Territories. With some exceptions, this project does also cover Hong Kong, Southern Rhodesia, Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Brunei, all of which are considered 'contemporary' . Commonwealth nations, realms, crown dependencies, and former colonies, territories and protectorates are not included in this Wikiproject. Areas formerly under British rule before 1980 may be covered by Wikiproject British Empire.
