[edit]- Coverage and factuality: 9
- Excellent coverage that displays information on almost all aspects of the Egyptian culture. Well covered articles with a good amount of information. Maybe a little more information in history.
- Writing style: 8
- A good writing style, however some sections seem very statistical (the intro) and one or two areas act as lists. The only area I don't like the writing style is the military section. Half of it is a list of military officials done very 'matter-of-a-fact'ly and a number of paragraphs only feature one or two sentences. Either these paragraphs need to be merged or expanded.
- Structure: 9
- I like the structure. It gives easy access to the information that one needs, especially thanks to the table of contents (even though it's automatically implemented, but it's still good convenience). The sections are to-the-point and you don't have to read a lot if you just want to learn the basics (more advanced information can be accessed in the specific articles of the information).
- Aesthetics: 8
- A great looking article with a good amount of information, not too cluttered and with a perfect number of pictures (not too few, and not too many). The bland list in the Military section and the large list in 'culture' take away from this though.
- Overall: 8.5
- This is a great article. There is still some minor room for improvement, especially in Military, but overall it's excellent. - Enzo Aquarius 16:07, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Of course, it's merely a small segment of the article, dealing with demographics. But see my comments (and those of another editor) here [1] and [2] There needs to be information included that is reflective of a more honest treatment of the dynamics of class and race in Egyptian society -- which are strong and persistent. Egyptian society is not homogeneous -- far from it. Deeceevoice 10:45, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit]- Coverage and factuality: 5
- Unbalanced article: In the history section, the 5000 years pharaonic era is barely mentioned. Most of it talks about the last 50 years. The politics section only talks about the 2005 elections. Two many emphasise on minorities. The article praises POVly the Egyptian culture.
- Writing style: 8
- "Light" writing. Easy and confortable to read and keeps you intereseted.
- Structure: 8
- Good sectioniong. Although some sections should be moved up (Geography to the top and Military to the bottom) and some merged (Religion with Demographics).
- Aesthetics: 8
- "Aired". The perfect number of pictures. Although the F-16 picture looks like a fake.
- Overall: 7
- The faces just one main (and most important) problem: an unbalanced coverage. Otherwise the writings and aestethics are great. CG 19:55, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
