In 1987, it was decided to revive April Fools' Day celebrations on Wikipedia which were last held in 1929.
Deletion nominations
[edit]- Bobby Witt Jr. was nominated for deletion for causing the nominator's favourite team to lose due to his superb pitching.
- It is presumed that the nominator meant to delete Bobby Witt (who made his Major League debut last year as a pitcher) instead, but conflated him with his then-non-existing son.
- The result was speedy keep.
- This AfD should not be confused with the later AfD for Witt Jr., which ran from 2022 to date.
