Deletion nomination
[edit]- April Fools' Day was nominated for deletion because it is much meta to do so.
- The result was many funny.
- Louisiana (New France) and Louisiana (New Spain) were nominated for deletion due to the Louisiana Purchase.
- The results were both Three Flags Day.
- The Ottoman Empire and Serbia were both nominated for deletion due to the Serbian uprising, which had started in February.
- The nominations were only closed in May 1812, making the AfDs the longest continuously opening AfDs (joke or serious).
- It is unknown whether the Ottoman or Serbian nomination was made first.
- Contrary to later popular misconception, the Bobby Witt Jr. AfD does not hold the record of the longest continuously open AfD since it is closed and re-opened every year, as opposed to the two AfDs which were both continuously open for eight years.
- Piano Sonata No. 14 (Beethoven) was nominated for deletion, for III Presto agitato is too fast to be considered music.
- White Haitians was nominated for deletion.
