Adopt is a Wikislang term that can mean one of two things:

• It might reference the process by which a new user is "adopted" by a more expirience user, who is intended to act as a mentor.
• It might reference the participation of an editor in the Adopt-a-typo Program by publicly volunteering to periodically check wikipedia for a certain type of misspelling (I.e. Mispelling).
