Virdis Graduate Institute is a non-profit distance learning institute focusing on ecological and psychological perspectives in higher education.
History
[edit]Viridis Graduate Institute was founded in 2011 by Dr. Lori Pye whose focus is Ecological Psychology and Environmental Humanities.[1][2][3] The name "Viridis" derives from the Latin term for "green, to sprout" or the notion of "green life," symbolizing the flourishing and growth of plants and vegetation.[4] John R. Ehrenfeld is a trustee of the Viridis Graduate Institute and also an adjunct faculty.[5]
