Vinay Kumar[1] is an Indian politician, social worker, incumbent Member of Legislative Assembly for Sri Renukaji Assembly constituency[2] and ongoing deputy speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Former Chief Parliamentary Secretary of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.[3][4] He is also serving as Working president of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee.[5]
Early life
[edit]Vinay Kumar was born in a agriculturist family in Vill.Maina Bagh,Sri Renukaji Assembly constituency Sirmaur district Himachal Pradesh,the son of former Six term M.L.A. Late Dr.Prem Singh from Shri Renuka Ji and Vidya Devi. He pursued his schooling from Bishop Cotton School Shimla. In his schooling Kumar was very active in sports especially in Marathons.Kumar is married to Seema Bhushan,and is blessed with a son and a daughter. [6]
Political career
[edit]- 2007 - Ongoing, General secretary of Renukaji Block Congress committee and Non-official Director of Himachal Pradesh Agricultural Rural Development Bank Ltd
- 2012 - 2017, Became Member of the Legislative Assembly for Sri Renukaji Assembly constituency for the first time,and became the Chief Parliamentary Secretary(PWD) under Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh of Government of Himachal Pradesh
- 2013 - 2017, Chairman of Renukaji Vikas Board
- 2017 - 2022,Was Re-elected for the Second term as Member of Legislative Assembly for Sri Renukaji Assembly constituency
- 2018 - 2022, Member of Welfare, Library, Research & Reference and Human Development Committees, Was positioned as , Working president of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee
- 2022 - Was again re-elected for the third term as Member of legislative assembly for Sri Renukaji Assembly constituency,
- 2023 - Became Deputy Speaker of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha on 19-12-2023 onwards
- 2024 - Attended, 84th All India Presiding Officer's Conference in Maharashtra on 27 to 28-01-2024.
-Became Chairmen of Renukaji Vikas board. -Attended the 67th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Sydney-Australia,Newzealand,Japan and South Korea.
