Muvy

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Muvy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. adavidw 23:25, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added to the page Crêpe do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses Nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Also, Glen S is not 'new to wiki'; she's an admin. Muvy Deleted

[edit]

You have recently recreated or reposted material at Muvy which previously was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not recreate this article without prior approval from an administrator or you may be blocked from editing. We ask that you respect what Wikipedia is not. If you disagree with the article's deletion, you may seek an independent deletion review. SERSeanCrane 00:46, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

With regards to your comments on User:Glen S: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Stop!

[edit]

Stop violating WP:POINT. Stop nominating normal articles for speedy deletion because your article was deleted. Consider this the only warning you will get. AecisBravado 00:13, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stop? Explain your actions. If Wikipedia is not a place for promoting small companies, then it is not a place for promoting large ones either, period. If my small page is to be deleted as "spam", then so shall be those of large companies.

Blocked

[edit]

You have been blocked from editing Wikipedia for 48 hours, for violating WP:POINT to the point of vandalism. You are welcome to contribute to Wikipedia normally and constructively when your block expires, but be aware that your next block might be indefinite. AecisBravado 00:18, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have committed no vandalism, and you know it. I am simply applying the Wikipedia rule about "blatant advertising". If you disagree with this rule, you should not be an admin on Wikipedia!
