Hey,

I've just declined the speedy you put on DMACK as I believe it does assert a credible claim of significance, supplying tires to WRC. Also, I think a previous version of the article asserts notability too, we should probably look at bringing that back rather than just deleting it.

U.S. Route 23 in Georgia

I noticed that when you moved my proposed article on U.S. Route 23 in Georgia the draft tag included a warning that the article already exists. In it's present form it's actually a redirect to U.S. Route 23. I hope that this redirect won't be misinterpreted as an excuse to delete the proposed article. Misguided deletion

You deleted a well-researched page for L'Oreal Paris. You also never went back to the talk page in the speedy deletion area to see the article author had left a clear defense of the article. I believe that you have mishandled this process and you do not understand how this company works. L'oreal Paris is comparable to Garnier and Maybelline. It is the exact same level. You would not suggest Wikipedia delete Garnier, would you? So why delete L'Oreal Paris? 1. I will further fix the over-sectioning. It did look a little odd to me too but I needed a third party view. Thanks for pointing it out.

2. I am also going to further improvise on the tone to make it more NPOV.

3. The article cites 4 different, reliable publishers, top national newspapers in India:

1. Times of India (www.timesofindia.com) 2. Hindustan Times (www.hindustantimes.com) 3. The Tribune (www.tribuneindia.com) 4. Daily Post (www.dailypost.in)

I will fix point 1 and 2 and resubmit the article for your kind review. If, in the meantime you notice something else, please do let me know. This is my first time posting an article on Wikipedia and I'm thankful to you for all the learning.

Dallas County Voters League

Hi Zppix. Regarding the reason why the article was not accepted seems odd. I want to create a stub or start article, not a polished article. According to Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment a stub is "A very basic description of the topic. However, all very-bad-quality articles will fall into this category." The definition for a start is "An article that is developing, but which is quite incomplete. It might or might not cite adequate reliable sources. " Isn't greater adherence to Wikipedia:Manual of Style seems over-the-top for a low level article? Mitchumch (talk) 18:43, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

In my opinion, I treat the MOS as a editing guideline, if you feel like I'm in error you can submit it again and ask another reviewer to review it nicely. However I'm not going to sit and argue about whom is right. Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 18:46, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

No problem. I'm a little curious as to what prompted you to mention it though? Eagleash (talk) 13:24, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) Here is a timeline:

At this point in time the next thing to expect would be to see a uw on the IP talk page from Eagleash. But Zppix "beats" them to it and posts

Then Zppix goes and warns Eagleash:

Before Eagleash has had the time to warn IP:

Several things go wrong here, Zppix. The only logical assumption is, you were both trying to revert the vandalism in Henry Cavill. It happens all the time that another editor "beats" you to a revert. In such a case, Zppix, you never go and post a warning on the vandals talk page. You leave that to the editor who actually reverted. Got it? It's not whack-a-mole. Furthermore, if you feel the need to post a welcome message, a blant, generic message like your own {{Welcome-ql}} is not the obvious choice, {{Welcome-warning}} would have been a better choice.

It gets ridiculous when you then go and post a {{Uw-warn}} on Eagleash' talk page. What were you thinking? Sam Sailor Talk! 14:15, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

Zppix: In a collaborative environment it is important to listen and learn from mistakes. If you keep arguing, if you keep citing BITE and AGF every time someone tries to help you, you will find it harder to become a better editor. Do you recognize what you did wrong here?

More GA review problems

I just took a look at your Talk:Sylvester (singer)/GA1 review. This article has been waiting since January 1 for a review, and you failed it in under ten minutes. More, the reasons you gave did not match the actual GA criteria. Let's take a look at these:

  • 1A: you have not reviewed this. Why not?
  • 1B: Lead is way too long. Needs more sectioning. According to WP:LEAD, part of 1b of the GA criteria, a lead section for an article of over 30,000 prose characters should be three or four paragraphs. (No lead should ever be more than four paragraphs.) So it is the proper number of paragraphs. It should summarize the rest of the article, which it does. So long as the material also appears in the body and doesn't involve quotes or controversial statements, the lead does not need sourcing so long as the body is adequately sourced.
  • 2A: Majority of article doesn't contain sources/in-line citations. Aside from the lead (see 1B for why they aren't necessary there), all of the paragraphs have at least two sources and most of them more (except for one paragraph that has a single source at the end). You'll have to be more specific about which statements need sourcing that doesn't have any.
  • 2B: you failed this; it is up to you to give examples of which sources you deem to be unreliable
  • 3B: this usually refers to the body of the article rather than the lead. Still, if you think the lead includes information that doesn't need duplication from the body, please give examples of what you think should be cut

Articles should rarely be failed right off the bat if they're fixable within a reasonable period of time, usually within seven days. This one certainly seems to be. Yet you failed it immediately, contrary to the guidelines.

Under the circumstances, you should reopen the review (I can adjust the article talk page, or you could revert the change from GA nominee to FailedGA templates), revise it in light of what I've noted above, and give the nominator a chance to work on the issues. If you plan to continue making GA reviews, I strongly urge you to get a mentor to help guide you, and also not to immediately pass or fail any review without getting input from another GA regular; it will be a while before you get up to speed. Thank you. BlueMoonset (talk) 20:50, 9 May 2016 (UTC)

Understand completly

Hi Zppix, I understand and that is perfectly understandable. Wikipedia can be an unusual place sometimes. Don't worry. If you are willing to learn, then that is half the battle. I suggest starting with creating content. Find your favorite articles about topics that interest you, find books, magazines, and web articles—the reliable sources—about that topic, then improve those articles, citing and referring to the reliable sources. After awhile, you'll become good at it and learn Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines along the way, and will feel more confident reviewing other's work. Let me know if you ever have questions. Flashback Records does exist as a title, but it is not an article, it is a disambiguation page. I have reverted the review and removed the template message from the editor's talk page. When the AFC helper script reports the title exists, always make sure to open it and check contents. Sam Sailor Talk! 16:29, 13 May 2016 (UTC)

I moved it so I could get flashback records into the main space the disambig was in the way of a primary topic article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zppix (talkcontribs) 14:28, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
Yes, I know what you did, I was curious as to what policies and guidelines motivated you. The draft is not ready for main space. Please revert yourself. Sam Sailor Talk! 18:07, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
Trying to remain civil here but to be fair it seems as if your WikiStalking me and commenting on everything I do... you're the only person whom has every questioned my AFC reviewing capabilities Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 18:10, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

Keeping your two recent WP:SNOW-closed nominations for AfD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Detlef Seif and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix in mind, I think it is obvious that your grasp on WP:N and its WP:SNGs leave something to be desired, and that's not good for working at AfC. But since you have reviewed Draft:Flashback Records and deemed it notable for main space under WP:CORPDEPTH, please start sourcing it. If you need any help, do not hesitate to call upon me. Hi Zppix, I agree fully with Sam Sailor - you may find the flowchart at WP:AFCR helpful (and please read this if you're going to do any more AfC reviews). The article failed on at least one of these points at the time of approval (in the process of fixing now - but it was a blatant copyvio), and should really have been fixed whilst still in draft, or bounced back to get the user requesting the review to make the changes. Mike1901 (talk) 19:05, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
Ok... I ran copyvio detector and got a .4% match so I ignored it but appartently you got different results... Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 20:19, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
The References section had direct quotes under each link - I didn't use an automated tool here. You need to be versed in Wikipedia policy before running AfC reviews - not just run through a set of automated tools. I know Sam Sailor has offered their help - I'm more than happy to help too if you need any assistance. (though Sam is much more experienced with AfC, so would probably be my first port of call!) Speedy deletion of Jamal Mammadxanov

I did not create this page myself, and I explained perfectly clearly why I was removing the speedy deletion tag, so it is your action that is against policy, not mine. 86.17.222.157 (talk) 20:42, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

Regardless... unless you state a valid reason weather in the edit summary or talk page you may not remove CSD (speedy deletion) templates.Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 20:43, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but where did you get that from?! Anyone, except the creator, can remove CSD tags for any reason if they disagree with it. Mike1901 (talk) 20:45, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
(after edit conflict) Thank you, Mike, and Zppix, I very clearly did provide a valid reason in my edit summary. 86.17.222.157 (talk) 20:47, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
Oops mike you're correct I misinterpreted the policy my fault Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 20:48, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

They do, that's very true - I've certainly made a few! :-) Just be careful, and check before you act if you're unsure on policy. Mike1901 (talk) 20:50, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

I think that just one trout will be plenty. As you say, everyone makes mistakes - I think I even made one myself once. 86.17.222.157 (talk) 20:58, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
Lol, ok... I'm going to archive this now if all parties are okay with that (before we get to far off topic :D)Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 21:00, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

PS. sinebot is not autosigning me for some reason even though I have the template to autosine me :(

It'll be along in a bit I expect - always good practice to manually sign though, 4 tildes doesnt take long to type :-) Mike1901 (talk) 21:08, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
@Mike1901: I usually do manually sign but I'm in a bad habit of forgetting too.. mainly on my user talk usually...Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 21:09, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

Controversy Keiko Fujimori

Dear Zppix, the articles cited as references in the section were from April 4th. On May 6th the database of Mossack Fonseca was put online https://offshoreleaks.icij.org/ and this proved that Yoshiyama was not a client of Mossack as cited in the old article on April 4th. So, those lines should be removed because from April 4th until May 6th new information was released. Thank you for your attention. Marcopolo20102010 (talk) 23:09, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

You didn't cite that however.. Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 23:11, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

The Nineties Source

Hello Zppix, I just added a source from Variety but I don't know if I added it right. Can you go to the The Eighties page and see if I added the source in the right place? I am new here and don't fully know how to add a link. Thank you and have a good day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.195.202.12 (talk) 23:34, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

Fly all ways airlines

Hi zppix, I see you reverted an edit between Barbados and Georgetown with Fly All Ways, if you check the arrival and departure for both airports the airline is part of the list also, so do you have a valid reason why u revert the edit? The airline fly between the three destinations Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's, you can check out the arrivals/departures for tomorrow before anymore unproven edits Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.80.54.171 (talk) 00:18, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
